    I wonder if Metatron wanting to shut down Heaven has to do with the consequences of shutting Hell's gates. If one is shut and not the other, I'd imagine the balance would be tipped and bad things would happen because of it.

    I'd just like to know where all of the souls of the dead will go. As long as someone answers that question in a satisfactory manner, I'd be way less critical of it.

    Maybe the doors will be shut down in order to avoid demons to come to earth, but will still be opened for souls to go into hell
