EW has learned exclusively that the Emmy-nominated CCH Pounder will join FX’s Sons of Anarchy for a multi-episode arc. She will play Tyne Patterson, a San Joaquin County District Attorney who runs head first into the area’s violent biker ways.
Pounder will first appear in the second episode of SOA, which will return in the fall.

I may have screamed when I saw this title! I was hoping she would either turn up in Justified or SOA as part of their on going using all the actors from the Shield/Deadwood war. Always a delight to see her.

At some point they need to stop with actors from The Shield, but in small doses and short arcs it certainly makes for some great TV so far!
Walton Goggins was awesome as the transsexual stripper and Jay Karnes was great as the psychotic ATF agent stalker.... I'm sure Pounder will be awesome as well!
They have mentioned before that they would like to use Goggins again, so let´s hope that he returns this season. :-)

ReplyDeleteIts been a joy to see Jay Karnes, Walton Goggins, David Rees Snell, Benito Martinez and Kenny Johnson pop up, most with recurring roles. I'm extremely grateful with Kurt Sutter for giving them a shot to come back to TV. Its also a joy to hear that Pounder is coming in too. I'm also hoping that Martinez' character Luis Torres comes back for Season 6.
