Thanks to Bruce_F and Kregan for the heads up.

It’s been a busy day in Ravenswood.

First up in today’s news downpour: The Pretty Little Liars spin-off has found its Miranda in Beauty and the Beast recurring player Nicole Gale Anderson, who plays the younger sister of Kristin Kreuk’s Catherine on that show. Miranda is described in a casting breakdown as a “fiercely independent foster kid” who “uses her wits to cover her emotional scars.” Anderson, who also appeared on ABC Family’s Make It or Break It, is set to be a regular on the buzzy project, which will also star Tyler Blackburn.

In related news, EW has learned that Meg Foster (the first Cagney on Cagney & Lacey, John Carpenter’s They Live) will appear in the sixth episode of Pretty Little Liars‘ fourth season as a resident of Ravenswood. In the episode, two members of the Liars crew find themselves in the mysterious town while on the trial of a clue. Foster’s character, Mrs. Grunwald, is described as a “no-nonsense, stubborn” 60-year-old. Foster is also said to possibly make an appearance in PLL‘s next annual Halloween episode, which airs prior to the Ravenswood series premiere.

  1. Well if you want a female cast that even approaches the attractiveness of the original, she's a good addition.

  3. As long as she's not crazy-obsessed over another boy band.... ;p
