Pierre Despereaux is coming back to Psych.

EW can report that Cary Elwes will reprise his role as an elegant art thief on the USA show in season eight. “Always the brilliant chap, he proves to be a well of mystery as he weaves through enthralling kerfuffles, chock full of daft chaps, codswallop and smashing twists & turns that’ll leave your knickers in a knot,” according to the press release.

Kristy Swanson, a.k.a. Marlowe, will also return to the show.

    Oh dear, I just woke up so I managed to read that as "Cary Elwes to reprise his role as an elephant". I must say I was a tad confused for a moment there!

    I just did a fist pump in the air when I read that Cary Elwes will return! Love Despereaux! Maybe a wedding with Shawn and Jules and Despereaux shows up! Shawn would love it.

    But Maggie's new show just got picked up by ABC - wonder if she will be in all 13 episodes?

    No, she won't. It was said that she would be in up to 5 episodes. But I'm thinking maybe it's possible to do 1-2 episodes more depending on her schedule. But all 13 episodes? Highly unlikely.

    I just read that the additional 5 scripts that USA ordered haven't officially been added to season 8, so it might just be 8 episodes total. I guess 5 out of 8 isn't too bad...

    Now, I don't begrudge her the opportunity to move on and do new things, but ... why would she go for a new show when she's on one she already knew had an eighth season?
