Psych - Episode 7.14 - No Trout About It - Review

Last week I got a chance to see Psych Season 7 Finale, so here’s a few thoughts about the episode. But first, I just wanted to say that the current season has to be one of the strongest and my personal favorites of the entire series. So many significant changes, like Juliet learning the truth about Shawn, Gus in a serious relationship and Lassie getting married and that’s not even it…yet.

In this episode, a new character shows up, his name is Trout and he’s not someone you’d want to mess with. He’s smart, driven, respects and follows the rules and apparently has something against the donuts(!). He comes to the Santa Barbara PD to check how Shawn, Gus, Lassiter and Juliet work together after their last case ends in a certain incident. Most of the episode is Shawn (or someone else of the four) telling Trout the story that led to the car chase shown right at the beginning of this season finale. Of course with some interruptions, when he asks the group about more details and/or their methods.

In case you were wondering after watching the promo, it’s actually a very funny episode, with some really hilarious lines and moments. Like always, in a very Psych style. I definitely enjoyed watching it and can hardly wait to see what’s gonna happen next. As for what you can expect to see tonight, prepare for some funny revelations, “you’d rather not know the truth” moment (that may or may not cause Lassie to attack someone), a car chase and some great characters scenes (especially near the end). And also, a very interesting case with at least a few turns and a guy trying to solve his own murder. Overall, pretty much fantastic episode!

And as a special treat for you all: can you guess who said those lines?
“Okay, here’s the bad news: You’re fired.”
“It’s not contagious!”
“You said it was cake mix!”
“I don’t know why I’m having so much trouble with that. It’s a little silly.”
“Suck it.”
