OH MY GOD. The whole episode was amazing and what every Densi fan hoped for, FREAKING HAPPENED. The last few minutes we're so gut wrenching, Deeks and Sam being tortured! Gaahhh
It really was a bittersweet moment for the Densi fans, just like Shane said. I don't know how i'm going to survive this hiatus dfkjhfgdkgjhdgjdf
Poor Deeks he not trained for this.........sam on the other is a former SEAL so he know how to handle this......Why did Callen use the Chameleon he betray them
I didn't get that part of the storyline at all. Why would Callen use the Chameleon when the Chameleleon has killed their one agents before. That didn't really make sense to me.
On the other hand I loved the Densi moments. I thought not only was it right for Deeks to make the first move, but it also made sense that Kensi would back off from that moment. It's pretty obvious she's the most out of touch with her own emotions.
I m with Mandy...bring on the riot. Since I m from europe I have to wait a few more hours to see it but all the comments are making my wait impossible. Was Sam mean to Deeks? I can t wait to see how that chess conversation ended....
This was such a tense finale!! Loved the densi moment, but the end had me grimacing!! I hate it when they torture them =( poor Deeks got it so much worse. I also don't know why they decided to use the Chameleon, you don't use the villain that you completely screwed over....stupid decision. STUPID DECISION!
What a cliffhanger! It's really cruel. Why did they do this? It would have been enough if we did not see the torture but only Deeks' scream. In an interview, Shane Brennan said he looked away when he saw the final cut of the episode (for the record: he did not even write this finale, Frank Military did). If a 56-year old man cannot even see the torture scenes, then do you think young people do? I am not saying I am done with the show, but I think it was a little too much.
I've always wondered why Sam was so cold, even nasty, toward Deeks. I didn't really buy the story he gave Deeks during the "chess" game. He doesn't like his clothes? Really? Deeks doesn't dress any different than Sam. His joking around? Huh? They all do it, although Deeks is better at it most of the time. His hair? No, not his hair or haircut actually, but what it represents: his character. What? There is absolutely no reason to question Deeks character and after 3 years, it just didn't make sense and of course, they didn't have time to explain things further. I can't help but believe there is still something else going on and if not, they gave a really poor explanation for the way Sam acts towards Deeks. Regardless, Sam could hardly question Deeks character after witnessing the torture he is going through to protect him and his wife. I have no doubt Deeks will survive, but I can't imagine Sam not being racked with guilt for the way he has treated Deeks over the years after this (you could see the pain in Sam’s face watching and listening to Deek’s torture). Despite his surliness toward Deeks, I don't think he would hesitate a second to sacrifice himself to save Deeks and maybe somehow he will.
The Kensi/Deeks moment was kind of a surprise. I think it was played well. I liked Kensi's confusion and inability to respond except to say she needed to go. It will be interesting to see how they deal with that moment next season. I'm glad they finally addressed the underlying feelings between the two characters after only 3 seasons. They have let the Tony/Ziva situation on NCIS go on way too long. It would now seem almost weird to see those two get together. There comes a point of diminishing returns when carrying flirtations on too long.
The torture at the end was amped up a little to add some shock value and remind the viewer how dangerous this job is supposed to be for the main characters. By the way, Eric Christian Olsen did some fantastic screaming. Very believable. It made me cringe and my heart ached for him even though I knew it wasn't real, which is what I think they were going for. I’m not sure it would have worked as well using Sam or Callen (although Sam was tortured). Sam and Callen seem almost like super heroes, too stoic to express pain; but Deeks put a very human face on the torture. Great job. Mr. Olsen!
Personally I am not a fan of cliffhangers. Having to wait a week to find out what happens to Deeks and Sam would be bad enough, but all summer. Talk about “torture". lol
I'm gonna die from suspension. That's what I think. DAMMIT. But great episode, especially the Densi kiss and the moment with Sam and Deeks towards the end, this was powerful.
I think if Sam continues to take the piss out of Deeks from now on (that is providing they both survive), Deeks will shoot him. Not breaking under that torture to protect Sam's wife?
Kensi and Deeks moment was brilliant. I could see that's what he wanted to do in the armoury but obviously didn't get a chance. Kensi's reaction was odd though. She just pretended it didn't even happen!
Callen is beyond stupid. Yes, I know using the Chameleon was their last hope, but the guy killed Renko and Hunter. He has a passionate hate against G and knows that the only way to hurt him is to hurt/kill those around him that he cares about. Idiocy.
I don't really think that will be the problem so much as Deeks not being the same after his current predicament. Not to mention the fact that that moment was way too over the top for this show, and in my opinion, completely unnecessary. For a show that's supposedly rated TV 14+, that was a hardcore TV M moment.
This episode I did not like: nuclear bomb? Where is Jack Bauer? Hetty separates the team for no reason. 5 on the team (GSDK + Michelle) and everything went wrong. Janvier? better to trust Judas! Poor Deeks that has to do with "Sam the stupid" and "Kensi the child." I hope that Deeks survive to take Sam to kick! Final divided into 2 parts? How "Criminal minds"? I'm really disappointed! They are the 08.11 pm I get dressed and go to see Iron Man 3. Sorry for the translation.
Finally saw the episode. I must say Kensi confuses me. She acts upset/jealous for 2 episodes now, at the beginning of the finale she practically dares Deeks to talk about their thing and when Deeks does... in the most awesome (IMO) way and very telling of his feelings she doesn t react but actually looks surprised. WTF? what exactly was she expecting with all of the "say what you mean!"crap. I don t get her reaction, hope it will be explained more.
Sam's attitude is a another story. I found it out of character and as of yet they didn't give a good enough answer as to why he suddenly has a problem with deeks. they always tease each other but I never felt there wasn't true respect for deeks under all the jocks so Sam's attitude was weird to me. I just think they wanted this ending and that's the best thing they could come up with. I do expect full on bromance in the next season, because if Sam doesn't apologize and eat his words I'll smack him :))) Aside from that this was my favorite finale because I finally got my Deeks cliffhanger ..but of course it had to be before a 4 month break :(:(

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! That's what I thaught of this episode.....and OMG, four months! I can't, I just can't!
ReplyDeleteAt least one of these worked out like I wanted it to. I'll make a more detailed comment later.

ReplyDeleteSpoiler alert...
ReplyDeleteBoth Kenzi ans Deeks will be back because it was announced over a month ago that both actors were returning for season 5 so don't panic about Densi.
Watching the end of this episode was torture!...
ReplyDeleteToo soon?
CBS is so cruel! it would by nice have some kind of closure! I can´t wait 4 months for end!
