  1. Well, I didn't give a crap about the case at all, but that was an interesting episode, still!

And oh God, Tony was so pissed with her word choice, but HE STILL DEFENDED HER AND SHE'S HIS BEST FRIEND AND ALDKSFJASLDKFJA. HE LOVES HER SO MUCH. AND SHE LOVES HIM.

Oh crap, this is not going to end well for Team Gibbs.

And does anyone ever get pissed at Team Gibbs for stopping the elevator when they need it? It happens a lot.

  2. Oh for crying out loud. I thought Ziva was past doing that kind of stuff. Tony was heartbroken and still managed to be there for her. I'm definitely not in a good mood about this. They create some of Tiva's best episodes, then pull something like that.

I hope they address the fact that Ziva really hurt Tony. It would be extremely annoying if they ignored that.

  3. Case was interesting but it was the B story I cared most about. Colin Hanks was great tho. Loved the way Abby managed to call him a 'dick' on network TV(you can't use that word as a pejorative on network). Loved that Ziva told him to 'Got to Hell.'

And Tony and Ziva... Ziva you're an idiot but I can't hate you for it. It was a sucky time for you; I get it. That being said, if she had any doubt about how Tony feels about her that should have been cleared up by the look on his face when she told him. She broke his heart a bit there. He's hurt but he still stands up for her. He calls her his best friend which was very sweet. And now we know what Cote meant by 'messy.' Curious to see where things go from here.

Next week looks like fun. Gibbs and Franks - yay! But where's Fornell? Gibbs/Fornell is my OTP. :)

  4. I'm very disappointed that once again the writers have decided to put up another unnecessary road block for Tiva. I will say that the scene in the tunnel with the water falling was incredibly well acted. I also loved seeing the growth in Tony. He confronted Ziva with his feelings. He didn't hide them or try to make a joke about what he felt. That's a new level of maturity for Tony. I just wish the writers would allow Ziva to mature as well.

  5. I suposed that at the end of this episode , we could say: thank you Ziva David, for once again, pull the team into your wreckage !! ;(

  6. Didn't really care about Tiva in this episode, because they're going after Gibbs! At first when they thought it was Vance (after they thought he was after Ziva) I didn't really care...cos really, who cares about Vance? But this smug ass guy is going down for going after Gibbs!

  7. that was a freaking awesome episode!

  8. Actually there are shows on network TV who use the work 'dick' quite often.

  9. Loved the episode. Though since I am not a Tiva fan, I am glad that they seemed to pull away from any romantic entanglement. I don't want it to happen ever. I feel like that is being forced upon everyone, including the actors. I always get the impression from Michael when he is acting that he doesn't want it to happen. I am mad at Colin Hanks for going after Gibbs, but I was already mad at him anyways because he seemed to be going after Vance first. I love Vance and I don't want anything to happen to him. Now why is this jerk going after Gibbs?

  10. Exactly! I def think he was mad at her 'I felt alone' remark more than anything. The writers' love to screw with us, ugh! I'm having S6 feels at the moment. ;(

PS: I always enjoy reading your comments in the Bones fandom too btw and your posts on ONTD.

  11. Tell me about it. It's the writers teasing us all over again, like they've done from season three with these two. I'd really like to know why Ziva is suddenly treating Tony the way he treated her in S7 too. These two, ugh! I'm convinced now more than ever that they'll only give us proper Tiva in the series finale ala Harm/Mac and a possible (serious?!) love interest for Tony next season. ;(

  12. That's why I have a problem with it really. The show is all about Tony maturing these past few seasons but they still insist on showing us the same old trope of the cold Mossad trained assassin Ziva. It was an incredible scene, performed brilliantly by both actors (though they do tend to bring out the best in each other int their shares scenes).

  13. You should thank the writers for once again using Ziva as a scapegoat

  14. This! The actual sex didn't piss him off, but the word choice did because he specifically told her she wasn't alone.

    Aw, thanks!

  15. Which ones? I ask cos I posed this question to a network showrunner last year and was told no. Apparently, he'd just asked his network the same question.
    Alex.

  16. I am sure he mean she wasn't alone in the sense that there exist aliens, and thus we are not alone. Why do you people get all riled up. Showrunners are milking their favorite cow, and that's it. Since the 3rd season we all know there is a chemistry between the two, and as you said you don't care about the case. You just watch the show because of 'Tiva', or Zony, Ziny, whatever. There are plenty more like you and why wouldn't producers throw a wrench every now and then? Missed moment, off-screen sex, jealous here, hurt there, arguing now, injured then, all just procrastinating. So I suggest you stop watching NCIS. Check every season premiere and season finale for Tiva, and you won't miss anything.

  17. Truth! Michael Weatherly has said a lot of times that he doesnt understand why Tony will fall in love with a woman who can kill him and lie to him in a second...:(. (I insist, I really like Ziva, even when the writers put her to make stupid things) But I love her with her own love life, away from Tony. They could be best man or woman for each other :). BTW, I hope Tony start dating again next season, he is a very good boyfriend material ( as we see him with Jeanne Benoit) He is charming !!

  18. I didn't say that I didn't care about the cases in general - I just said that the case was not warranted in this episode when we're so close to the finale and in the middle of this big arc.

I love this show and I'm not only in it for Tiva. I love the team dynamics and the cases are interesting too.

  19. Colin Hanks is specializing in characters I don't like. Jezz!!!

Just recently i saw an interview with Michael in which he said he believes getting characters together is not a good idea, they tried it on Buffy and it didn't work, he said it destroit the show. He still thinks he and Cote have good chemistry, he just wants to play it out. I have to admit i love the idea of Tiva, but i agree that the show wouldn't work with them being a couple. I like how it is now, they have good chemistry and i love these little moments they have, like the one in the rain in the episode today, it was short, put very powerful. I understand people getting upset over the idea of Tiva, yes it would hurt the show, but these little moments, they don't hurt anybody and i like their friendship, and the way the writers play with our minds, I still wouldn't mind seeing Tony and Ziva as ''endgame'' in the very last episode of the show, please don't hate for this wish... ;)

  21. I really don't hope that they waste screentime on either Tony or Ziva dating, because anytime they do the storylines are basically trainwrecks

    ReplyDelete
  22. It's not a question of missing or not missing Tiva for me. It's about getting jerked around and manipulated by the show's producers.

I don't need Tiva. But I do need honesty in the characterization of the characters on the screen.

  23. How Harm/Mac was handled on JAG was the main reason I stopped watching. Either two people should be together or they shouldn't. This stop/go is ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Loved it. Great set up for the finale. Of course he's after Gibbs. And yes Gibbs (and Vance) are responsible for everything the kids get up to. Can't wait to see how this all plays out.

Can I just say I loved Abbs in this episode? I love it when Abby gets angry instead of pouting. Angry Abby rocks. McGrope = honourable mention.

To the Tony/Ziva aspect of things - I loved this too. Their relationship really has progressed this year. It's getting very real with them. There seemed to be a lot of 'How could she?' on twitter last night accompanied by 'Adam is a horrible person/took advantage' kind of thing. Maybe he is. Maybe he's old-school DiNozzo(I'm sure Tony's mentioned chicks at funerals), maybe he's an old boyfriend, maybe he crushes on Ziva as badly as Tony does -we'll probably never know. The reality is that Tony and Ziva are NOT dating, he is not her boyfriend and until he is, she can bang whomever she chooses. Yeah, shagging someone at a funeral is perhaps not the best judgement call but alone and thousands of miles away from your 'family' is a tough place to be; these things happen in real life too.

They have reached a place where neither one can pretend they don't see it/feel it anymore. It's a new point for them and after 8 years it'll be really interesting to see how they more forward...

I'm all for the slow play. I don't need big scenes and fireworks. It's Gibbs' show after all.

  25. On the other hand, Castle and Beckett got together, and it didn't hurt the show at all. Same with Bones. Both those shows got better.

I wouldn't mind it being played out at all -- but this is stupid and a slap in the face to NCIS fans.

I think Michael Weatherly is just trying to stop the fans from getting their hopes up too high.

  26. I would have said it was great, with 'Dick' being slimy and going after everyone, and the research study on being followed.....

BUT ... I really hated that they wrote in that Ziva slept with Adam in Israel. It was unnecessary, it didn't advance the characters of either Tony and especially not Ziva, and it was a stupid way to mess with the fans.

  27. But his character in Roswell was a good guy. ;-)

  28. Season 4's Escaped :

McGee reiterates Tony's advice on picking up chicks at funerals.

McGee: You were right man, cause when women are vunerable...
Tony: You get right in there.

    Sometimes Karma's a bitch isn't it Tony?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I don't understand why people are so upset about Tony and Ziva.Tony himself has said on more than one occasion he would never get involved with a co worker because then they wouldn't be able to work together or work in the same department/office.

Tony and Ziva will get together but it won't be anytime soon.If indeed this is the last season then that is when it will happen, throughout next seaon, not before...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Maybe i have to watch Roswell in order to like him ;)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Never been a Tiva fan.... they could change the whole cast IMO so long as they keep Gibbs (maybe McGee), it'll still be NCIS and I'll still be watching.
And he must be seriously stupid gunning for Gibbs.... I almost feel sorry for him. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Well... Now we now that Tony does not deserve Ziva's Mini because he is a car killer that did destroy his car coming back from a frat party. Clearly this is not surprise because he is childish and do not deserve to be trust. It is sad how the writers made Tony character the wimpy comic relief for the show.
