Kind of a disappointment actually. The reveal over Maddie was great but I’m a bit disappointed that we didn’t get to see more of that, I kind of want to see her reaching out to Deacon because really they are the two people that were betrayed here. But it seemed like in one scene she was mad at her mom and then in the next she was hugging her...okay.
The ending wasn’t that shocking, we all know that Deacon and Rayna aren’t going to die.
Peggy’s pregnancy wasn’t surprising at all, anyone could have seen that one coming.
Seemed like all Juliette did was mope, not saying that she doesn't have the right to be depressed but her scenes could almost lift out of the episode with how much they played into the twists at the end.
Honestly it felt like a VERY rushed finale, too much happened and I couldn’t really process it all. Nothing was given the due attention it deserved.
I guess it kinda felt rushed because the network cut the season down from 22 episode's to 21. I'm just glad we have another season coming to see where things go from here..
I wish they had an -I don't know selection in the poll. It was too fast and overedited.
The first half was all choppy and disjointed. The second half was really good but the ending was so stressful. I liked the earlier episodes when things moved at a normal pace. Are they really gaining more viewers with this style. I love the show so much, the acting and singing are terrific, that it is sad when a character dies, like Jason and Jolene.
I hope season 2 slows down some.
And i hope Judith Hoag becomes a series regular. She plays Tandy perfectly
Hayden Panettiere amazing in this episode. All Juliette's moments are perfect and also my favorite. Gunnar proposal to Scarlett cool. About Maddie situation Deacon is overeacting because he is addicted, so Rayna and Teddy make the good decision here in the time(ok the lie still bad here). Awesome episode for me, can't wait for next season..
I don't know about you guys, but I think next new couple of Nashville is Juliette and Avery.
Peggy pregnant good move for her, big problem for Teddy.
I actually liked the fast paced episode it was sad but good getting to see the kind of drunk Deacon was poor guy but I liked what they did with it. I'm thinking Rayna might be more hurt than Deacon maybe the guilt will snap him back next season
I kind of now wish we had one more episode cause this finale was rushed. It was good but rushed and I hate that feeling cause it doesn't solve anything. I felt bad for Maddie, Deacon and Juliette in the episode but I'm really not happy with Rayna taking a back seat to what should be HER storyline involving the reveal of Maddie's real father. I love Rayna but she hasn't had any spot light on her, it's either on Juliette or one of the cast members like Teddy. I really wish they don't rush next season, slow it down a bit and maybe give this show more episodes.
About Maddie - she did spend a lot of time being mad at her mom, and I hope that continues in the next season. But I believe it wasn't that far off from reality when she hugged Rayna after Rayna told her how much she loved her. I mean, Maddie is only 13(? 12?), she is still a child. Children generally want to be comforted by their parents, even if their parents are making them upset.
On a side note, I thought Hayden did a great job. I really like the funeral scene with her and Connie.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

So saw that car accident coming a mile away.
ReplyDeleteactually didn't have high expectations at the finale. but that was just very strong. I loved almost everything about it...
ReplyDeleteHow long before they announce that Chris Carmack will be a regular next season?
Poor Maddie (with the season ender).

Tandy against her father, hmm, interesting.
Juliette wins CMA, she deserves.
The letter of Joliene to Juliette, great moment.

I think I would have been surprised if they didn't post that there was going to be a crash a few weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteI HATE the fact that they made the "lead" of the show appear like some side-kick.It should have been Rayna's storyline this episode.
