Well, that was great, but sad. I was thiseclose to giving up the show because I'm losing interest, but this drew me back in and I'll give it another chance next season.
First of all, I was wondering earlier if they were going to revisit Rossi/Strauss because they brought it up last season finale and then never mentioned it again. Thought maybe they dropped it. Guess they hadn't. And I was torn on whether or not I liked Strauss, but I really shipped Rossi/Strauss and I'm sad we didn't see more of their relationship. He loved her! And yet another woman he loved dies. And her kids. So sad.
Wonder if Jeanne will be back next season. Poor Blake at the end.
I'm pretty sure I saw Bellamy Young on this show first, but after seeing her on Scandal, it's weird to see her as Beth now. Even though she's a regular on Scandal, now that Prentiss is gone and I won't be getting Hotch/Prentiss, maybe she and Hotch will be endgame. Hopefully.
The end was funny and cute. I loved them telling their Erin stories.
It was great. I loved it. Glad there was no cliffhanger, I was partially expecting them to all collapse from the wine they drank - expecting it to be drugged haha...
How many women has Criminal Minds (ABC Studios/CBS) got rid off so far (regular and recurring)?
1- Elle Greenaway - Lola wanted to leave;
2- Jordan Todd - was just a replacement for JJ (and AJ) while she was on maternity leave;
3- Haley Brooks Hotchner- because they needed something very powerful for the 100th episode of the show (which is the best episode of the show so far and one of the best 100th episodes of a TV show ever) and because Foyet was already targeting Hotch and his family so it only made sense;
4- Jennifer Jareau "JJ" - because those who pay the salaries are all a bunch of morons who care more about money than the quality of the show and what the fans want;
5- Emily Prentiss - same as #4;
6- Ashley Seaver - was brought in as a replacement for Prentiss but because of the fans' uproar they had to bring both JJ and Emily back so they placed Seaver on another team (and fired poor Rachel, who was brought into this very unnecessary mess they themselves had created, via twitter, what a bunch of a**holes);
7- Emily Prentiss (again) - because of how mishandled Paget's return was in the first place and how mistreated she was by ABC Studios/CBS, she decided to leave on her own terms this time (sinking my heart and my Hotch/Emily OTP);
and now:
8- Erin Strauss - why? She wasn't even all that much on the show. Was the team in such a desperate need of another shock? Losing another one of their own?
And now what? Who's going to replace her? Hotch? He had already helped her while she was in rehab so he could a good choice, if it wasn't for the fact that he would not be able to travel with the team to solve the cases, because being a full-time section chief and unit chief at the same time would be too much of a workload. Hotch did say during season 7 that he couldn't wait to have Strauss back because it was to much work even with Morgan helping him with the team, and even if he let Morgan in charge of the team he would not be traveling with them just like Staruss wasn't, unless she really wanted or was absolutely necessary. Or are we going to be introduced to yet another recurring character next season?
I feel very sorry for Rossi tho. First his ex-wife, now his "girlfriend". Not to mention that's another loved one dead. Gideon's special friend on season 2, Hotch's ex-wife on season 5, Rossi's ex-wife on season 7, Reid's girlfriend on season 8. JJ almost lost Will too on the season 7 finale.
Loved it, I was never an Erin Strauss fan but when she died I cried for some unknown reason. It was a great episode especially Garcia's reaction when her system was hacked. I loved the whole Rossi getting drugged and pulling the gun on Morgan. I really liked the fact that we had to guess who the unsub was that is the way I like it, I don't like it when they show who it is at the begining. Overall a great episode.
Decent episode, but kind of predictable. I actually liked the first hour a lot more than the second, but maybe that's because we finally got to see baby bro Hotch again.
And OT, but DAMN, Mark Hamill...what happened? There's no way he's going to pass for a Jedi Knight/Master in Star Wars VII...at least not right now. :S
Yeah... I thought it didn't really live up to the build-up of previous episodes... Mark Hamill was good but the character was kinda ordinary (disgruntled employee) and he really didn't come off as that much of a threat.
Amazing episode!!! We had a Rookie Blue/Criminal Minds Crossover lol Also i love the reference Garcia made when she said "I found something more weird then a time traveling blue police box" Glad to know one of the writers is a big fan of Doctor Who :)
It was weird to see Bellamy on Criminal Minds but she is gorgeous as always :) It was like Criminal Minds/Scandal cross over lol..I'm glad Strauss death wasn't in vein seeing as the sobriety chip was what helped Rossi trap the Replicator inside the house....In other words Karma is a bitch :) lol
One details bothers me : the poison was passed to Rossi through his skin because it was on the letter but the replicator didn't wear any gloves when he manipulated that letter(which was stupid because he probably left prints) and yet he didn't get sick...
Me too! I really like Kevin coming back, and even Anderson!! It felt like it was a salute to as long running fans. The only thing missing was a comment about Reid's past drug use, and gideon dropping the ball!
It was good, not fab, but acceptable for sure. Some of the detail was confusing, like how soon they were able to identify Morgan's dna on the wrist wounds, just how Rossi released the team was hazy, but I did like the way Strauss was able to redeem herself in the end. I thought she was really able to change with her abstinance from alcohol. And the ending I found to be particularly poignant, when the team's faces revealed their inner hurts and pain, Rossi's loss of his friend, Reid's thoughts of Maeve, and I thought at one point Hotch was steeped in his memories of Haley and her tragic ending. My prediction of who was going down was right on, and I now see Hotch taking her position and Morgan leading the team. Wonder what that will mean to Garcia and his relationship, but then that never was conventional anyway. Hope they keep them close. And yes, I'll keep watching. A faithful fan just does not leave when they worked hard to keep the team together.
I love the past reference to the major unsub.....fisher king and Foyet.....it must be scary that the unsub is a FBI agent who is a skilled computer tech......and biochemistry
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteglad no cliffhanger but them drinking and seeing the wine bottle made me nervous b/c that bottle looked like the drugged one

ReplyDeleteSomeone help.....did I hear right ...did someone say Rossi was seeing Strauss???? Were they dating???
ReplyDeleteThey implied it last season, and Hotch says int the season final that they've been seeing each other for a year. Even JJ makes a commnet about it.
