In Victorian England, the young and beautiful Alice (Sophie Lowe) tells a tale of a strange new land that exists on the other side of a rabbit hole. An invisible cat, a hookah smoking caterpillar and playing cards that talk are just some of the fantastic things she’s seen during this impossible adventure. Surely this troubled girl must be insane and her doctors aim to cure her with a treatment that will make her forget everything. Alice seems ready to put it all behind her, especially the painful memory of the genie she fell in love with and lost forever — the handsome and mysterious Cyrus (Peter Gadiot). But deep down Alice knows this world is real and just in the nick of time, the sardonic Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha) and the irrepressible White Rabbit (John Lithgow) arrive to save her from a doomed fate. Together, the trio will take a tumble down the rabbit hole to this Wonderland where nothing is impossible.“Once Upon A Time In Wonderland” stars Sophie Lowe (“Beautiful Kate”) as Alice, Michael Socha (“This Is England”) as Knave of Hearts, Peter Gadiot (“The Forbidden Girl”) as Cyrus, Emma Rigby (“Hollyoaks”) as Queen of Hearts and John Lithgow (“Third Rock From The Sun”) as the voice of the White Rabbit.
“Once Upon A Time In Wonderland” is written and executive produced by Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (“Once Upon A Time”). Also executive produced by Steve Perlman and Zack Estrin, and directed by Ralph Hemecker. “Once Upon A Time In Wonderland” is produced by ABC Studios.

Wait, Cora's not the Queen of Hearts? Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'll most likely check this out!
Genie? I don't remember there being a genie in Alice in Wonderland...
ReplyDeleteCora probably overthrew the Queen of Hearts later on
ReplyDeletethe plot looks pretty interesting it means if i understand she came back from wonderland and now she has to go back tehre cause she wants to save her genie or something like that... hope is good im gonna watch it
ReplyDeletethey need to change things up if they do exactly like the story that would be boring cause we already knows how it ends and besides they need a love story
ReplyDeleteI'm glad this got picked up and I hope it helps returning viewers to its mothership Once.
ReplyDeleteIts a wrong description.
ReplyDeleteEmma Rigsby is not Queen of Hearts. She is Red Queen.
The Plot reminds me of [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_McGee%27s_AliceAmerican McGee's Alice[/url], quite a lot
ReplyDeleteNot really excited about the cast. That's a shame, that John Lithgow - probably the best actor from the cast - will be only the voice. ;)
ReplyDeleteI thought the Queen of Hearts was Cora and she is dead.
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to this. The cast fits nicely together. They
ReplyDeleteare all British actors and it makes sense as it is set in Victorian
England (with the exception of John Lithgow).
Alice (Sophie Lowe) and Cyrus the "handsome and mysterious genie" (Peter Gadiot) make a nice couple. I can’t wait!
Meh....
ReplyDeleteTimeline wise it absolutely happened quite a bit later on.
ReplyDeleteIts Kitsis and Horowitz we're talking about here. It's not like they care about stuff like that. These are the guys who made the Beast and Rumpelstiltskin be one and the same.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd mind so much if I actually trusted them to execute their ideas in an eloquent and coherent manner, but I don't...
if you no bring me Cora, I no watch this show. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteUnless there going to do "A Dark One" like thing, where one has to kill another to be the Queen of Hearts?
ReplyDeleteBut I'm hoping that the description is wrong and she is 'the red queen' just for the reference to the novel's sake. It's curious though that they not mention or have cast 'the white queen'...
The original OUAT is convoluted enough - not sure I could handle this in addition....at least not without Sebastian Stan. Depending on when it airs, I might watch an episode or two, but can't imagine dividing Eddie and Adam's time will be a good thing for either series.
