I figured Hannibal might not be for a few more weeks as its still airing a lot of its first season
ReplyDeleteCrap, I was expecting a reveal today.
ReplyDeleteC'mon COMMUNITY! You're the little train that could!

Waiting for news on Community's renewal is stressing me out.
ReplyDeleteyeah not surprised by this
ReplyDeleteThe New Normal?
ReplyDeleteYeah, that seems to be why they're waiting on that for a while.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the talks? Just about cost moving forward for another season? That's more hopeful than I thought it was gonna be
ReplyDeleteNot heard anything from any of out contacts, and not seen much chatter about it's prospects.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look like it'll be renewed as 3 of its episodes during its run had ratings under 1.0. No matter what happens to Community, The New Normal needs a big miracle for it to get a 2nd season. Plus, its ratings were under Go On, which sadly just got cancelled .
ReplyDeletePossibly episode order/whether it will be a mid-season show again. In theory the show should be cheaper now that Chevy Chase left.
ReplyDeleteAnswered my own question by clicking on the deadline link in Go On's story. Community is part of a multi-show negotiation between NBC and Sony.
ReplyDeleteDeadline posted this earlier
ReplyDelete"The talks between NBC and Sony include five projects: Community, which looks hopeful for another, possibly shorter and possibly final, cycle; white-hot drama pilot Blacklist and comedy pilot Welcome To The Family, both of which look very good for a pickup; medical drama pilot Night Shift; and comedy pilotBrenda Forever, which is out of contention for fall but there is a possibility for a reshoot."
You're not alone. Last night I dreamed the show had been cancelled, and woke up horribly upset... And then managed to get back to sleep only to dream it had been renewed with a full 22 episode order... I was elated when I woke the second time, until I realized that wasn't real either! I feel justified in saying, this wait is wrinkling my brain!
ReplyDeleteNBC, so help me if you don't renew Hannibal and move it to a different day....
ReplyDeleteI think they will, it premiered good in a bad timeslot and recieved a expected hit from comptetion. Besides it is a cheap show for them, they have to pay almost nothing for it, so I think they might renew it, give it a Voice boost start for the 2nd season and then move it to a new night (maybe Fridays after Grimm or something better if it does well after The Voice)
ReplyDeleteAlso TNN ended with everything tied up in a nice bow. Nothing to look forward to next season. They got their kid, they got married. Someone wasn't thinking about the longevity of the show.
ReplyDeleteI really hope NBC are aware enough at how much they screwed Hannibal over with scheduling. Seriously, they haven't successfully launched a new show in this timeslot in about 4 years, no proper lead-in, premiering the show in April, after The Following and Bates Motel both started... I honestly don't know what they were thinking.
ReplyDeleteI dunno if they'll air it after the Voice- I feel like if they were planning on actually giving it that boost, they would have put it on Tuesdays already. But I'm completely ok with moving Hannibal to Fridays with Grimm- it also works better content wise (rather than a 2 hour commedy block) and I might not give myself an ulcer worrying about the ratings so much (7 seasons and a cook book!)
NBC, you better renew Hannibal. It's soooo good it hurts!!!!
ReplyDeleteGrimm at 9 and Hannibal at 10 on Fridays sounds like a good deal! Let's hope NBC sees it like that
ReplyDeleteOr Ryan Murphy figured that he wasn't going to get a renewal when the (sadly) low first half numbers came in so he wrote in a happy, complete ending.
ReplyDeleteI laughed more than I should with the final 6 words of your coment. KKKK
ReplyDeleteArgh they better renew Hannibal. At least for another season. I don't want it to end on a freaking cliffhanger!
ReplyDeleteWish I could take credit for it, but I saw it first on tumblr and it just stuck with me. But yeah, it should totally become Fannibals' motto.
ReplyDeleteWe already have a fanbase name? I wish they picked up something that sounded less like Funny Balls.
ReplyDeleteA cheap show, seriously? If that's the case, NBC is damn good at business because they have a stellar cast and showrunner
ReplyDeletejoigning the "please renew hannibal" chorus :-)
ReplyDeleteI need more Hannibal!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt might be cheap for NBC- because they're not the producers (Gaumont and De Laurentiis are), so they didn't really finance the show itself. I agree though- the show has a stellar cast and showrunner and it's visually stunning.
ReplyDeleteLOL, never thought about it that way, I guess I never said it out loud. Yes, we have a fanbase name- even Bryan Fuller is calling us Fannibals!
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to wrap my mind up about how bad is Hannibal doing.. I can't elieve it, I sure as hell love it!
ReplyDeletepleaseeee I need hannibal im so hooked
ReplyDeleteI really hope Hannibal gets another season! I`m thunderstruck by the fact that it`s doing so bad ;( Are there any new news about a renewal?
