Unfortunate as it is, the Beeb aren't to blame if stockists dispatch DVDs ahead of the release date. Not sure I understand all the outrage!

So… Did anyone else get their pre-order early? This is a HUGE mistake via BBC America, one I’m very happy to be victimized by. I get to see Nightmare in Silver AND The Name of the Doctor early!
So, I feel like I have the awesome power of being able to spoil something really really big in the palm of my hands but I refuse sir, I REFUSE! Just know that The Name of the Doctor is a seriously game-changing episode. And that Clara’s explanation will BLOW classic Whovians out of the water.

Wow, I'm stunned that this has happened, very shoddy, I expect that the crew will not be amused at all!! :(
ReplyDeleteGood to hear we will get some closure on the Clara mystery :D
Anyone found it yet? I'm never good at finding leaked stuff :(
ReplyDeleteSo, is this the 50th anniversary episode, or is that something completely different?
ReplyDeletedo you follow doctor who?
ReplyDeleteHave you found it yet? The fans who got the DVDs must have amazing self control or are being threatened by the beeb.
ReplyDeleteDid you see it yet? I'm going to be avoiding all spoilers/teasers not given by you as I trust you not to spoil anything huge.
ReplyDeleteWell... where is it? People, you have to share!!!
ReplyDeleteNo one here has it.
ReplyDeleteIs this verified? I can't find anyone else online saying they've received the DVD.

ReplyDeleteI've seen photos from people with the screen title... so it seems t be 100% true
ReplyDeleteMe neither...
ReplyDeleteNope, it's only on restricted release at the moment :( I could spoil you rotten still though, but I'd probably get into all sorts of trouble, lol.
ReplyDeleteIts the S7 finale events of which will lead into the 50th Anniversary ep which is being shown in November.
ReplyDeleteWoah! Is it bad that I want it to be spoiled? ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't really think it's gonna stop fans from watching it anyway on Saturday, but it definitely would help with the waiting.
I want to watch the episode in full now. Rather than stumbling onto a screen cap of the last 5 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI want too... If someone has it, say it. And no, don't post it here...
ReplyDeleteSee, this is why I trust you, you wouldn't do that (well maybe you would if I tormented you, but then I'd be the one losing out... xD).
ReplyDeleteFrom what you know so far do you think it'll live up to the hype generated by the title? (not asking if the name is revealed, just if it's an amazing episode).
NOT EVEN FAIR! Why does it get to happen to Americans? :(
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot more love for it than hate (I think only the Radio Times has said they don't like it I think). I don't think we, as the audience, will hear the name if I'm honest.
ReplyDeleteYeah I did a bit more googling - what a massive mess-up
ReplyDeleteYep, this is the one spoiler that probably needs to stay off spoilertv.
ReplyDeleteBut that doesn't mean that I don't want to see it!! If someone has it, please, share it privately, for those of us who want it.
ReplyDeleteWell as much as I would love to hear what happens I'm kind of praying that people don't give away spoilers! Because on the Facebook page it says that if fans can keep the secret safe till next Saturday that they will show a special clip featuring the TENTH AND ELEVENTH DOCTORS! :D
ReplyDeleteThey'll show it anyway...
ReplyDeleteI am not really even a Fan. I just want to know the name. Share it for those that have it.
ReplyDeleteBummer that we won't get to hear the name...
ReplyDeleteUnless it's just people at BBCAmerica taking pictures with the DVDs. I can't believe with the amount of discs that have been released not one person would crack and try to share at least solid TEXT spoilers, if not the actual episode. I'm wary of the promise of the Matt and David vid if the Internet doesn't spoil it. I'm almost convinced it's something they were gonna release anyway. Feeding into the lie when no one finds solid spoilers OR an upload that the Internet's done their job by keeping quiet. When has the INTERNET kept quiet? Showing Aslyum of the Daleks to a controlled audience and THEM not mentioning Clara is one thing, but this is another.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely they will. As I mentioned above, I'm almost convinced it was something they were gonna air anyway.
ReplyDeleteI don't think any name can live up to the hype. I think if it is revealed, it'll be whispered into someone's ear...
ReplyDeleteExactly, or whispered in order to open something, maybe a trap?
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to put a few things together from what we know. River isn't seen in the trailer, just heard I think (?), it's only her gravestone we see. That coupled with the DWM tease that River is post library in the finale, I'm wondering if she will be an incorporeal presence only...what better way to defeat the Great Intelligence that using an already downloaded character?
Also, with seeing Clara in different outfits in the trailer, could she also be manipulating Clara somehow into the bodies of past companions, possibly with help from the TARDIS. The leather jacket looks similar to something Ace wore, and the shot with Bessie could be Jo/Sarah Jane? These companions could be saving all the Doctors from the G.I. (or the rumoured Omega), one of which is the John Hurt character, which is how his reveal could happen?
Yeah I'd totally watch it if the quality's passable.
ReplyDeleteIn the later TV trailer, we can see River in the TARDIS - though it could be TARDIS interface - the light seemed a bit strange...
ReplyDeleteThe more I know, the more confused I am... I feel like..two, three weeks ago things seemed clearer than they are now... which is a good thing I guess... I'm sure I'm going to like any surprise (or shock) Moffat has prepared... though no 11th's regeneration. I know that one day it's going to come but I'm not ready yet. Perhaps one more season and than I will be ready...
Btw. Can you please tell me who Omega is?
ReplyDeleteNo-one seems to know, which is why I think a lot of people are assuming Hurt is due to a lack of any other actor known to be involved. But as they did the majority of the filming in studio it's possible that it will be a surprise.
ReplyDeleteI don't think 11 will regenerate in the finale, but I do have a feeling that he may soon , which is a huge shame in many ways; he's my favourite Doctor. But, a new Doctor is always an exciting prospect, it's a bitter sweet pill, lol.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of fake spoilers doing the rounds, especially on tumblr, lol.
ReplyDeleteHe appears in the 3rd Doctor Episode, The Third Doctor. Along with Rassilon and The Other (according to some literary DW sources, The Doctor is kinda THE OTHER), he pretty much created the universe as we know it.
ReplyDeleteThese warning messages are a little ridiculous. I assume people who find their way to a website called SpoilerTV.com are, in fact, looking for spoilers. I would never Tweet them out or share them but that's why I come to this website.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more! A site that advertises itself as a spoiler site should post every spoiler it can possibly find! Or change its name, I suppose... I've no problem with big warnings, or doing it via a link so you get the choice whether to look, but for a spoiler site to choose to censor spoilers and deny them to everyone is a bit odd. And annoying! ;-)
ReplyDelete@Liz Not sure what you are talking about?
ReplyDeleteThis article is NOT from us? Did you read the article? Did you see the Source link at the bottom?

ReplyDeleteI hope someone who has it will post the spoilers here. That's what this damn site is for, after all.
ReplyDeleteIf you come across any definite spoilers then please submit them and then we can post them :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't censored anything, if you have any definite spoilers then please do submit them and we can share them in the same way I shared this tumblr post from the person who does not wish to spoil :)
ReplyDeleteIt's the same reason I work on this site too. If you know of any of the people who received the discs early and wishes to share anything then please do submit them using the button above this post. We can't post what we don't have any details of after all :)
ReplyDeleteSomeone is going to get in huge trouble esp as the screeners sent out in the UK at least are without the final scene according to SFX magazine so clearly they are trying not let something big get out
ReplyDeleteI know, doing exactly the same thing right now :D
ReplyDeleteI think there are spoilers out there now, but most reputable blogs and sites are avoiding publishing any of them.
