Also getting a pass is nearly frontrunner and Disney-friendly drama Big Thunder, based on the Disney Parks ride, and dramas Reckless and Doubt. Venice aka Westside is not going forward either. It started off well but was eventually overshadowed by fellow soap Betrayal. Also dead is multi-camera comedy Divorce, so ABC ended up passing on both of its multi-cam pilots, including King John, which will make it harder for such pitches next year.

Nooooo Big Thunder! :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting so I could put my 2 cents in.... Noooooo!!!! I wanted to see Big Thunder, the idea of it being fantasy and a period piece was so intriguing. This would have been good family viewing for ABC it's too bad.
ReplyDeleteSad about Big Thunder. But my pilots did really well, I got Intelligence, Hostages, Crazy Ones, Mom, SHIELD, Super Fun Night, Mixology, Almost Human, Crisis, The 100, and the Tomorrow People while losing out on Big Thunder, the Sixth Gun, and Bloodline. 11/14 isn't bad at all. And the only cancellations of my shows were Go On and Happy Endings (*cries in a dark corner*)
ReplyDeleteSo what is ABC planning on pairing up with LMS with no multi-cameras?
I was so hoping to see "Doubt" by David Shore and "Venice/Westside" with Odette Annable :((
ReplyDeleteBummed that Big Thunder and Westside didn't get picked up, but I'm very excited for SHIELD, Mixology, and Betrayal on ABC.
ReplyDeleteBig Thunder :O
ReplyDeleteNone of these looked good and none of their pilots they picked look good either. ABC SUCKS.
ReplyDeleteWait... What?! Big Thunder DIDN'T make it? From all accounts it sounded like a sure thing.... Oh well goes to show how fickle this business really is...
