    Its already been spoiler on a bunch of other sites that the soul Sam has to save from hell is Bobby because Crowley is a dick. I am utterly disappointed in the writers lack of creativity.

    Writing an episode that deals with the season storyline and also has Bobby is a lack of creativity?


    They find out the whole innocent soul thing before they are made aware that Bobby is in hell.
    And why do people assume that Crowley actually let Bobby out of his deal and didn't just make it look like he did? Which if it is the case wouldn't be a lack of creativity it would be typical Crowley.

    Well Jim Beaver has been confirmed to be in the episode. So the only way I can see it not being Bobby is if Crowley had a demon possess a shapeshifter.

    I have thought that its a prank from Crowley, but I doubt now that Jim confirmed. It would be interesting if it was a shapeshifter as we haven't had one in a while but I also doubt because how would it be possible if he was actually deceased.
    We also don't know if Bobby will be stickin' around, but I think so he has potential and its a good storyline intertwined with the trial for starters. I do still want him to be back :)

    Solid theory and that would fit with JB's actual appearance in the episode and Jensenfan1978 (and others) theories that "the boys finding out that Soul!Bobby is in Hell" is a trap for the boys (Reaper!Ajay was willing to take both Winchesters "to Hell and Back".) Until Ajay told them he was the Reaper who took "Bobby's soul" to Hell, the only "objective" the boys had for Trial #2 was to save an "innocent soul from Hell" but until the episode airs we have no idea if that was Kevin's actual, physical interpretation of the Tablet or if Kevin was *messed with* by Crowley being in Kevin's head. (Recall in 5.01 Chuck scrambled message delived by Becky about "where to find the 'Michael Sword' was implanted by Zachariah, so it was a "fake message").
    "Bobby" as a Shapeshifter could also give "a" reason for Dean to ask for Benny's "help", assuming Dean's statement to Benny in the promo is just Dean telling Benny that Sam is in trouble in Hell and not really expecting Benny to be able to do anything about it unless he knows a "back door into Hell and what Dean is really asking Benny is who "They" are, the "They" who told Benny where to find the Human portal.

    *But* OTOH if Soul!Bobby is the Real!Bobby and the rescue succeeds ("Bobby" is the "innocent" soul) I want Bobby to either be resurrected and just thanks Sam and Dean and just "retires" -- or his soul is moved on to Heaven probably by Ajay a reaper that needs redeeming himself.
