Step By Step - Patrick Duffy wants a reunion movie

“I would love to work with Suzanne [Somers] again,” Duffy tells The Hollywood Reporter, referring to his Step By Step on-screen wife. “The Step By Step cast was so wonderful to be with. They were my family and I think a little two-hour special about where these people are – not a documentary, but actually doing a show – seeing where they all come to over the years. It would be so fun to play that goofy Frank Lambert character again, aging another 25 years.”

  1. And I want pants. A lot of people want a lot of things.

Used to watch Step by Step when I was a kid, it reran all the time, I think the 7 year-old me was a fan. But obviously a reunion is never going to happen, and I'm not sure I want one, there's no motive other than greed and capitalizing on something from the past (something Duffy is doing quite well on Dallas).

If Duffy wants to work with Suzanne Somers again, he could invite her to Dallas - assuming it doesn't get cancelled, and if it might save SouthLAnd in the process, then I'll be dropping the guillotine myself.

  2. I remember religiously watching this show as part of TGIFriday. But I can't remember a single character except for the dumb dude. Who was hot.

  3. I am all for a reunion, but I disagree about Rich and Dana. I never was a fan of that relationship.

  4. You make a great point - I remember watching the show every Friday - but I can't remember anyone (character wise) from the show. Didn't someone live in the backyard?

  5. As well I used to totally love this show and watched it all the time as a kid, but I doubt it would appeal to me now.

  6. Um, that sounds like a stupid idea to me...
