ABC has given a six-episode order to Sing Your Face Off.
The reality competition series will see five celebrities transformed and trained to perform as a different legendary musical icon, including hours in the makeup chair and days of training with choreographers and vocals trainers. Casting has begun on the series, though a premiere date has not yet been set.
The series, executive-produced by America's Got Talent's Georgie Hurford-Jones and Endemol USA, is based on Spain's Your Face Sounds Familiar. The show has since been sold to 20 different countries across Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Well, this sounds stupid and pointless.
ReplyDeleteHow very unoriginal and ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteGuess what - no one cares.
ReplyDeleteHow about we not do this and try something that doesn't suck?
ReplyDeleteanother singing competition show? doesn't seem like the best idea as the ratings for the big ones: AI, XF, and the Voice are declining... but maybe this is supposed to be a cheap summer reality series for the network, where it might fare better ala America's got talent...
ReplyDeleteyou may be wrong! This show was the most watched program of 2012 in Portugal. And the ratings increased week by week.
