I've been waiting for them to get around to this issue. I've been pretending for years that everyone at the precinct never actually believed that Shawn was psychic and simply went along with his shtick because he's been so helpful. It's hard for me to accept that the intelligent people on the force like Juliet and Vick would really believe the whole psychic thing, especially coming from someone as ridiculous as Shawn.
I wouldn't be too scared. Without diving too far into more massive spoilers, I'll just say: yes, there may be bumps in the short term, but there's no need to worry about the long term.
Think of it this way: their relationship can't move forward with that lie between them. They're going to HAVE to deal with it, and get past it, to grow closer. So if seeing them break up briefly makes them stronger and closer in the long run, isn't that worth it?
I'm pretty sure Vick doesn't really believe he's psychic. Kirsten Nelson has even said she plays Vick as if she's skeptical, but more interested in his results. And we certainly know Lassiter isn't buying it! But yeah, it's a bit of a problem that Jules still believes absolutely, and that's going to make the next several weeks pretty interesting...
I would like them to finally past it, but I just hate the idea of this lovely couple having any serious troubles. But seeing as they're trying to move forward, it's surely better to have them sooner rather than later.
Major coincidence. I thought about this elephant in the room right after the last episode, and never really gave it a thought before. I was thinking if and when they were going to adress it, but I thought it was more along the way. Guess not!
Agreed! I've always noticed the way Kristen plays her scenes, like she knows he's putting on a show, but he's proven he gets the job done so she lets the nonsense slide. I've been convinced Juliet's known, too. I haven't watched the promo, so I've no idea if she DIDN'T know.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I don't get it
ReplyDeleteif shawn says yes that would mean he is not actually a psychic and has been lying to juliet the whole time..which we know is true
ReplyDeleteI did not see this one coming! Oh, I don't want them to break up or anything!
ReplyDeleteI am actually scared about this.

ReplyDeleteHonestly, I've always thought Juliet is the only one that actually believes that. Unfortunately that can only make things even worse.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. If Juliet truly believes that Shawn is psychic, the truth will really hurt her.
ReplyDeletedo you think she will find out the truth in this episode ?

I'm naturally skeptical of such things so I'll say no.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. I'm looking forward to the show inserting some genuine drama into the episodes.
ReplyDeleteyeah i thought it was a non-spoken thing, that everybody knew already lol now i'm worried!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping the same thing but Juliet's reaction in the clip indicates otherwise. Oh well.

ReplyDeleteThere is nothing to worry about. The breakup only lasts for 3 episodes. Later on in the season they even double date with Gus and Rachel.

ReplyDeleteCould be editing. Juliet reacting to something else in the episode/scene? I've seen that tactic used a lot in promos for Project Runway.
ReplyDeletePossibly. It would have to be some very clever editing though.
