Well first off, I missed the end because of a fire drill (Wish that could have waited a few more minutes) but I'll watch it on Hulu in the morning.
Really hope there's a season three!
Why did the comedy season finale have to emotionally destroy me? Rude. George and Dallas seemed to be fine until Tess and Dalia fucked everything up, tbh. And I don't think I like Tess very much. Everything's about her.
LOL at Lisa and Malik.
Great episodes and I loved these episodes. This better not have been the series finale, but I don't think it is.
I really enjoyed these 2 eps to close the season. The amped up catfight with Dahlia/Tessa was a hoot and pretty well choreographed. I did like the more serious tone in the eps as opposed the normally light feel as well as it gave the actors more to work with. Dallas breaking up with George was disappointing and totally felt like it came out of nowhere. Interesting that they brought Alex the mom back, and for the most part I feel that her character has been given way too easy of a time as you'd think that a mother who essentially abandons her child and doesn't bother to contact her for almost 16 years would be given a much harder time. Maybe it's because they're a new age hippie/hipster family - I still find it odd that Tessa calls her parents by their first names, and George is more concerned with being a friend more than a father most times... nice close to the season and I hope that the show gets renewed
I had never felt as involved in this show as I did today, Ryan and Tessa were SO sweet, and I really think George made a mistake choosing Dallas over his own daughter, specially after she told him she literally went to blows with Dalia
Talk about making me overly emotional! I watched these two eps straight after Southland for a pick me up and yeah didn't get one but did get the show doing what it does best.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI loved the idea that George could be more of a father to Dahlia than her own father. I loved how Tessa needed her mother.
