I have watched the very first show from day one and loved it!! But now something is missing. It's lost it's sparkle, the characters are going no where!!
Yep this season is nothing like the previous one, every episode ends and you sorta feel it's been a waste of time. There are funny moments, like the scene with Lemon and Wade but as a total every episode is such a disappointment. Not planning on rewatching any of them when I have watched the first season about 3 times. George and Zoe were so lovely side by side during those few minutes at the hospital ^^ (but at this point even if they hook them up it isn't enough to save the show either).
I feel like they just flipped a a switch and the musics stopped playing and all the characters got up and sat down in other storylines. Lemon wants to buy the Rammer Jammer? What happened to the catering company? How can she not get a loan? Wade and Zoe are back to neighborly antagonistic flirting (what the what?). George now likes Zoe (again). Zoe's forgotten that she doesn't do casual. Ruby just happens to wander back in town to cause trouble and helpfully provide a boat. I don't know if it is the hiatus but everything feels really abrupt and disjointed. I've never minded George and Zoe they seem similar and I loved their NOLA date, but after everything they've said this feels forced and not organic. And I feel bad for Tansy.
PS. Love Lavon and AnnaBeth. And Wade working with Lemon to make the girl think she was hallucinating.
Wade was so sweet in this episode, hope he gets to grow in the new bussiness. I loved to see that there's still a sparkle between Zoe and George. When Jonah said Zoe was more of a duck watching girl he definitley ment something about George.
I don't get the negative comments in here, but I think it's because those with the negative ones are usually louder. I'm saying this because I saw the comments before watching the episode and I really thought that it'd suck but this episode was much much better than I expected! Everyone is making me happy! I love small friendly banter between Lemon and Ruby, and bigger manly banter between George and Jonah. I think Brick has something more than migraine but he doesn't want to tell anyone. If he has a more serious illness, than it'd be a new but fitting storyline, being that this is a medical comedy. George is more interesting in this episode when he's capable of scheming. Wade is a better character when the writers focus on his personal development. I think this episode made me happy after a tear-breaking episode the one before that.
I guess you're downvoted because of your comment that you want to see more Zoe/George. But I upvoted you. Sorry that Zade shippers are the aggressive ones here.
My God, your self-righteous comment annoys me as usual:
1) What happened to the catering company? Didn't you see how she imagined turning Rammer Jammer into a restaurant, which is more or less similar to a catering company since it involves her cooking? It's her cooking that she's proud of, not her business savvy persona.
2) How can she not get a loan? Well, there's a matter of winning a $50000 price that she could get in a day, and you want to overcrowd the episode with the matter of getting a loan? Of course she would try to win first because didn't you see that Annabeth said at the end that "We'll try to find another way to get the money?"? So, it's implied that loan is one of the options. Are you one of those audience that needs to be spelled out everything in order to know that it exists?
3)Wade and Zoe are back to neighborly antagonistic flirting (what the what?)? I can't even begin... It's like they can't even try to be diplomatic? You want them to hate each other to eternity? What do you want???
4) Zoe's forgotten that she doesn't do casual. Didn't she hate the idea of spring break in the beginning of the episode? The purpose of Jonah in the episode is to try to change Zoe for a while.
5) Ruby just happens to wander back... Did you forget that she had a grandpa that needed to be taken care of???
It's like you purposely to trash the episodes (every episode that is) no matter how slightly good it is. You're like a politician trashing the other party.
I voted OK... episode was pretty boring actually. I know they are moving to George/Zoe but it is painfully slow either get them together and watch what happens or dont, this in between stuff is boring.
Thank you, I'm just not bored enough to vote them down (I really like Wade, don't get me wrong, I think he needs to grow a lot yet to be able to be really happy, but for some reason I think Zoe and George are ment to be, that's only my opinion of course)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Lemon and Wade saved the episode.
ReplyDeleteNeeded much more Wade and much less Zoe/George

ReplyDeleteI agree. I think it's more important to give Wade a storyline where he develops personally rather than him in a relationship.
