  1. Well I was happy until Pelant ruined it. Fuck you, Pelant, and end this annoying, long-ass storyline already. I literally just screamed in anger at the end.

THIS IS NOT OKAY. I AM PISSED RIGHT NOW. THE ENGAGEMENT WAS SO CUTE AND WHY DID BOOTH HAVE TO LISTEN TO HIM? FUCK THAT.

Yup, raging and will be all summer.

  2. Aww,i feel so bad for Booth and Brennan. She finally wants to marry Booth and fucking Pelant is pulling the strings, yet again.. Good episode but i didn't love it,it was to sad for the season finale.

  3. I thought the whole Palant telling Booth to call off the wedding was incredibly stupid. First of all, are you suggesting that at no time Booth couldn't let Brennan know that Pelant is behind this? If Brennan is that smart, she couldn't read it in Booths face that there was something else behind his calling it off? I thought this girl going after Sweets could of been better than what it did too, what a let down.

  4. I'm a huge fan of the show, and in general this was a good episode (acting, directing) but at this point I think the writers are enjoying Pelant way more than I am. I find his story arc is old and getting far too drawn out. It was way to predictable having Booth fall for Pelants threats. On the other hand, now Booth will have to propose to Brennan and IT BETTER BE FRIGGIN GOOD!!!!!!

  5. And here we go again, good episode but the end sucked so much ÂŹÂŹ poor Brennan, long summer...again :( I am so pissed right now and this is a tradition now, every Bones season finale makes me want to break my tv LOL

  6. I hate Pelant! Poor Bones! it was sad to she her cry.

  7. SHould have given us the option of : pissed me off.

  8. This episode will clearly get a lot of fans pissed off. That's not unusual with their season finales but to be fair, they warned us this time. It was heartcrushing and brillant.

Here's the thing with all the theories going around that Booth should have wrote it on a paper, or whispered it in the shower or whatever, it's not valid. Because even if he could, he would never risk it all, Pelant knows it. Booth is aware that Pelant is getting exactly what he wants and still he doesn't have a choice.

So, they're heading into season 9 with some trouble in their relationship because clearly they're not okay. Brennan will feel betrayed and it will be hard to see but I think she's come far enough to handle it and not backpedal into her old self. At least, we know that Booth will do whatever he can to fix it and we know he will kill him for this, that's something to look forward to.

Personally, I'm not mad at the writers or at anyone, I'm just really sad in a beautifully tragic way.

  9. My mom and I were also wondering why Booth didn't tell Brennan about Pelant's threat. But @Rita Sanchez makes a good point above: Pelant knows that Booth wouldn't risk it. Plus, he'd probably find a way to know that Booth told Brennan the real reason he took back his "Hell yes!"

  10. eh. It was nice to see Bones finally feel what it must have been like for Booth all this time in their relationship wanting more and dealing with her strict "logic"... the shoe was on the other foot, it was a nice change of pace. But yeah, horrible episode.

  11. Ugh, I was really hoping they'd shut down this Pelant story line in the finale. I'm over it. The proposal was cute, though.

  12. i hate these kinds of storylines. i hate when people are manipulated it feels just terrible and i have been over pelant for like two episodes of his at least. Gosh waht a stupid ending.

    ReplyDelete
  13. they always disappoint us in those moments. i wouldnt bet on it.

  14. I love this show, my god, I love this show, but every end is absolutely horrible. But I think this is the worst of all. This will give a guideline for the season 9 but as far Booth broke the heart of Brennan. I don't know how Booth will repair it, how the couple and their families will handle it. secrets are usually not very good in couple relationships. What is unbearable is that it is someone outside their relationship, just spoil everything.

I enjoyed seeing the evolution of the character of Brennan. Bit by bit, little by little, at different levels
All progress made by Brennan to get there. At the realization that she can not live without him, the point of asking him in marriage.

In the case of Brennan is worse than we thought and I'm afraid it closes again. Is the change made by the character will allow him to do it without this leading to a final break.
It's like a betrayal which results in a loss of confidence. Beyond the damage to their personal relationship, I can not imagine the consequences of their professional relationship. Once, just once, they could not give us a happy ending.
And why is it always couple who is abused. Nothing is ever easy for them. It's always the obstacle course. The final scene where everyone from his side and silence. There 's no worse than the silence in a couple. Booth is fully aware of the evil that comes from him but I don't know if he'll be able to repair it. Maybe with the help of their friends.
writers want to surprise us, ok, but stop stop stop stop it's really too sad.

Question: This relationship can it cope with whatever life throws on the way?. That's the big question of this final. I'm too disgusted (now) to be optimistic but I really want to believe even more that there is life and happiness of their children in the balance. But I really like this couple, then.

I see one thing, Brennan bad, really bad, but it does not leak, it remains. I think it is because it is a mother now, but it's much more than that it's also the result of its evolution

  15. What dumb episode. And not because they didn't get married, because that's quite fine with me, don't care. But the reason? What, he couldn't write on a piece of paper the reason and hand it to Brennan in his apartment? That's some artificial drama for you. Second thing, Pilant took the cell network down but Booth calls from a landline and talks to Bones on her cell?
Some genius who wrote this poorly needs to be fired. And what's the writers room for if they let through this kinds of holes in a season finale?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I never really thought of marriage for them but a few episodes before the final, led me to think that it was something possible, even though I was pretty suspicious. things would have been too simple and doesn't correspond to the dynamics of the show.

I like that as a couple, whether married is not essential for me. By cons take the character of Brennan on this path and then achieve that, it's tough. I really wish the writers don't open the door to this possibility and then slam the door in his face (especially in this way), but if it will continue to give dimension to the characters. This is where we'll see if their relationship is solid. But damn, it's still frustrating.

  17. I agree! someone please kill that nerd already! Pelant fuckin' ruined everything! he ruined the long awaited moment of Bones and Booth. I just hope Bones will found out in the first episode next season. And for Booth, don't let Pelant win...Go marry your girl Booth!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Pelant took the cell service down in the area where Booth was to meet the witness. NOT the entire network.

  19. VERY true! They do have a way of dangling a carrot in front of us, but always keeping it out of reach. That kinda sucks if you ask me. :( We know they are capable of writing these moments, we've seen them in previous seasons (season 6, elevator scene comes to mind) hopefully the writers will get back on track creatively.

Also, I'm wondering.....Hart once said we would find out about the alarm clock. We never did! AND I heard that Fox has held back some of Bones epps from this season. I'm wondering if maybe the alarm clock was in one of those? Or was Hart lying?!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hart never said it will be brought up, SN got asked in an interview and he said no so the clock never was part of the plan, at least, when they learned they were getting a season 9, which was a long time ago.

  21. this whole stuff with Pelant is getting really boooooring, they should kill him already

Well I can this relationship now hitting the rocks. I can see Bones not trusting Booth even if he proposed to her. He knows how she feels about marriage and how hard it was for her to ask him to marry her. I hope that the writers let's Booth tell her the truth and they can work it out and they di not write in a break-up for Booth and Bones.

    ReplyDelete
  23. 8 full seasons spent gradually building a grounded, believable, relationship with obstacles to overcome that were logical, understandable, and relatable. *smh*

After all that time and investment by the audience they're given something as ridiculous as "I can't marry her because a billionaire psychopath threatened me." I'm no 'shipper but you don't have to be one to be annoyed by this. This is some eye-rolling, daytime soap sweeps stunt stupidity. Viewers deserved better.

  24. Seriously?!?!?!? Seriously WTF OMG when she asked Booth i got so excited for them. Are we not done with Pelant has he not won enough times. It's kind of obvious how it's going to end as well because there is no way they will let him go to jail which means one of the team are going to kill him then potentially drag out the story with them being arrested for his murder (my money is on Hodgins)
Surely there could have been a way for him to tell Bones she isn't the type of character that would have spread it around she could have kept that secret. GRRRRR so frustrated

    ReplyDelete
  25. Really good episode until the end. I'm sick of the Pelant storyline. It was good at the beginning but now they are just milking it for every drop they can which is getting boring imo

    ReplyDelete
  26. Actually Pelant would of know if he told Breannan the truth but remember the alarm clock he switched i thought he use it in some way but now i figured it out he switched the alarm with a listening device and who's to say he hasn't already hacked into their security feed thus making me listen to everything and see everything.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The wedding wouldn't happen anytime soon bc according to Emily in a interview she wants Booth and Bones to get married towards the end of the series making it a perfect send off for the fans and plus who knows maybe the writers will not listen to Emily and do it anyways lol but either way i lean more towards Emily's wish then the fan's wish bc even tho they went through hell and back a wedding on a series finale episode would be a perfect way.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I agree but let's not forget Pelant broke into their house and switched out the alarm clock which i think has a listening device and now that he can access any security feed who's to say he hasn't already done it and plus we have no idea what else he did in their house beside's if they decided to end the story line in season 9 the writers would want Pelant to think he's won when he reality he's going down lol We still need to know what he did to their house and i believe we will learn that next season.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I guess they haven't come up with another villain for bones seeing as Pelant been around since season 7 but i think by mid season 9 we will be introduced to another villain *i hope* lol

    ReplyDelete
  30. Gotta go with the thread, here. This is not cool that they're dragging the Pelant storyline out like this. Maybe the writers will take note, and in the season premier they'll take him down once and for all.

    ReplyDelete
  31. worst final ever.....i think i dont like Bones ANYMORE....i loved that show....and now its just bull.....

...the longest storyline ever with that Creep!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I hated it, just hated it. Bones is really a letdown these days for me. The pelant story could have been very exciting, but he appeard in like what, 4 episodes? The rest of the season there is barely any mension of him. And after all thats happend this season i thought it was so heartbreaking to see brennan like that. I can't stand it, that a seasons finale always has to be something bad. Do the writers really think that after all these seasons, in wich we came to cherish en love these two, we'd be okay with this?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, that final scene dropped the episode down to just okay. I could believe Booth succumbing to Pelant's blackmail to protect the innocent but NOT TELLING BRENNEN!?!?!? I'm supposed to believe that? They have worked so hard to keep from giving the audience the feeling that they're manufacturing artificial reasons to keep the couple apart. This was the queen bee of manufactured artificial *&*@##*@(&# to keep them apart. What has me so upset is that it is IMHO completely out of character for Booth NOT find a way to tell Brennen what was going on in some way that Pelant couldn't eavesdrop on.

    grr

    ReplyDelete
  34. I disagree. Booth is smart enough to find a way to get off the grid for an hour or two and tell her what was going on. (shoot, if Booth doesn't know how Max could help him.) Pelant's only all seeing via the grid. Yes, he'd be suspicious that they went off the grid, but Booth could convince him he refused to have Pelant watch while he broke Brennan's heart and as long as Brennan behaves as though she's had her heart broken. And if Booth isn't having that house swept on a regular basis then he's not as bright as I thought he was.

    ReplyDelete
  35. That's a perfect way to phrase it.... "the writers are enjoying Pelant way more than I am."
