I gave up two episodes into this season and now I'm beginning to think I gave up too soon. There was nothing else on so I watched tonight and that was really good. That girl creeped me out a lot.
I liked this show last season but this was the first I've really watched this one and I was surprised and disappointed at how very bad the science was. The psychiatry part made No. Sense. At. All (personality disorder patients don't go psychotic; ETC only disturbs immediate memories; if the mother suspected her older daughter of killing the younger, why would she authorize ECT?). In other areas, Megan is practically nutso about her father's note (anyone could have left that fingerprint) and what she really needs is a shrink to deal with her obsession. Even the personality stuff was badly written -- why was the young cop asking Megan if it's okay to date Tommy instead of asking Tommy himself?
I like that addition of Mark Valley but if this is an example of the show, I don't think it's good enough to merit a further season.
I liked it! I enjoyed the show last season but I really think it has improved this year. I could have used more Kate though, and also some Adam. But it was really interesting to see Megan deal with the girl and the case and what it brought out in her. I am enjoying where they are going with her father's killer storyline and her facing her mother. Great stuff.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteMay start watching this again!
Megan was wrong about a case. How this is affecting Megan is also interesting.
