Better get used to it. CBS does this every year during the spring half of the season. As someone who has watched all the CSI'S every season, I'm used to this by now. CBS has all the ratings, so they can afford to choose when they air episodes. It sure doesn't help us fans though. I'm sure they'll do it again next spring.
Aha, so this is why Elementary is all over the place too? I was wondering, and it seriously sucks! Oh well, at least now i know it's normal i can prepare myself for next year.
Yeah it's normal. CBS doesn't do this during the fall half though. They're pretty good about airing episodes on consecutive weeks during the fall half, for one because they have all summer to film and because there aren't any specials that get in the way. During the spring half, they're limited by wherever they got to before the winter break and the airing schedule eventually catches up to the filming. Another thing early in the new year is award season. The Grammys, the Oscars, etc. and the other award show specials mess everything up. Last year CSI Miami skipped about 3 or 4 weeks before airing the last 4 all consecutively. What they've done with POI and TBBT this year is a bit extreme, skipping 2 weeks twice (really 3 weeks time). I am going to start watching Elementary since it passed my test of getting a 2nd season. I almost never watch the 1st seasons of shows in case they get canceled. They have to prove themselves 1st. POI was an exception to that because I could tell it was going to be a huge hit as soon as I saw the first promo.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I couldn't agree more.

ReplyDeleteYou're missing an awful lot of excellent TV that doesn't get more than a first season!
