Brace yourselves, Nikita fans: The CW thriller’s breakneck pace isn’t going to let up anytime soon. In fact…
“A horribly shocking thing happens this week,” showrunner Craig Silverstein tells TVLine exclusively.
That thing: the death of a major Nikita player.
Of this Friday’s jaw dropper, the EP shares: “In my mind — with the exception of Percy — I don’t think we’ve really had a death like this. It’s a hero’s death for one of the members of our team, and [an actor or actress] who’s been a regular for so long… Sure, Ari was an amazing character, but he was a bad guy. So, I don’t think we’ve had this exact moment.”
Silverstein notes that said character’s demise is “not a standard, big-moment sacrifice,” but it’s also not “an off-the-cuff, middle-of-some-other-scene moment.”
What’s more, “There are a couple deaths this week, actually,” he adds — though the one of true significance is teased here.

Maybe Owen/Sam? I mean, he's not a good guy right now, but he was on Nikita's team. Out of all the members, I think sadly, he is the one most expendable.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine anyone else from the team including Birkhoff and Sean (cause he's with Alex) being killed with the show not having been renewed yet but having the possibility of one more season. I can't see them taking away another of Alex's love interests or their one comic relief character.
I really don't want any of the team dead. This news is scary. :(
seriously crying right now. i don't wanna lose any of my babies :(
ReplyDeleteExtract from 3x19 press release 'Birkhoff (Aaron Stanford) struggles with his own personal losses.'
ReplyDeleteSonya... :(
This is really sad. My favorite thing about the show is the whole team Nikita thing they have going. Reaaaally hope it is not Sean, but I am very scared. I don't want it to be Sonya either, but I would rather have it be her than Sean, I really adore Sean
ReplyDeletethis is mean to say but I rather sonya then sean I love sean to much and to kill him would be a waste of a character
ReplyDeleteIf Sean dies, Alex should really start batting for the other team…not that it would change anything. She just doesn't have a good track record with men. They're either all dead, about to die, or missing. I honestly would hate to see Sean kick the bucket, not that I don't like Sonya. But, I just think his chances of survival are extremely minimal. I would just hate to see what Alex is like after she finds out/witnesses his death, if he does…there is small hope.
ReplyDeleteI'll be sad if the death is Sean - I'm fairly neutral about his character, but I'd hate the effect it would have on Alex, who has already lost so much and is clearly headed for a breakdown anyway because of her guilt over starting the mutiny and shooting Ryan. That would be torturing her character too much, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately * SPOILERS * I'm next to certain that it IS going to be him, because all of the other actors, even Lyndie Greenwood (Sonya), have been tweeting about filming or seen in behind-the-scenes pictures lately. Dillon's absence is telling.
They can kill Sean, I've never cared for him. We know from other releases that Birkoff, Alex, Nikita and Michael are ok.
