This seems very anticlimactic for a season finale and Lily Anne Lonergan, really? How is that wackadoodle supposed to help anyone with relationship issues? She may be the worst possible person to go to with that stuff.
ReplyDeleteThere doesn't seem to be enough Zoe/Wade related storylines in this finale.... I'm not happy....
ReplyDeleteThough I have to say AB possibly being "courted" by the opposing town sounds like FUN!
Yeah, AB and Lavon are fun to watch, it's gonna be great :)
ReplyDeleteOh, man, I really like this show, but it's starting to feel like it's a show of major couple swaps. Everyone has already, or will have soon, had something romantic with each other. I won't be surprised if one day they just end up all living together in a house with one bedroom and a giant bed. LOL. Just the thought of that it's horrific, but it kinda fits for this show. Decide already, or come up with new characters.
ReplyDeletewackadoodle... i wanna say that word all day long! lol
ReplyDeleteIs Bluebell where we're all each others ex's? Seriously?! Have Zoe pick one and end the triangle. They are not teenagers, but a 30-year-olds. If George is interested in Zoe, DATE her. Same with Zoe. Geez...Either it works or doesn't, then we'll know. Move on is right! Drop the multiple suitors already.
ReplyDeleteWithout Wade to temper Zoe, she's unlikable. Zoe's relationship with wade is a strong story foundation which help center all the other B & C storylines flow and make sense. Making the show fun. I use to like this town and its inhabitants.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. This show is becoming sort of "incestuous" in some ways. Soon they are going to ran out of options, then they'll circle it back to their first love and start all over again. The only stable couple that I can remember is Wanda and Tom, and they're perfect for each other.
ReplyDeleteWhat makes you say that, I think the only characters that date another character's ex are AB who dates Lavon (although Lavon is not technically Lemon's ex because they were never in a relationship, so I'm sound this doesn't count) and George who dated Tansy. Who else? Zoe dating Wade doesn't count because Tansy is not a regular character at the time they dated (and I'm not sure that she is now). That's it. Noone else. And this episode doesn't even say that George is going to be with Lily Anne.
ReplyDeleteI'm genuinely curious why you said that. Maybe I'm missing something.
I think the show speaks for itself. Lemon dated George and Lavon, Lavon dated Lemon and AB, Lemon dated George, who is in this will they won't they with Zoe (which probably means they will someday), George dated Tansy (which of course totally counts because I'm counting the people who is or was on the show), who dated Wade, who dated Zoe. George dated the girl that is dating his ex-fianceƩ's father, oh my God... To me there's nothing else to be said. I rest my case. But it's a matter of opinion, of course, and IMO they are going to run out of options soon.
ReplyDeleteThere are several errors:
ReplyDelete1) First, above, you said you're concerned that this would be a MAJOR couple swap. By major, it means the girl Brick is dating should not count right? And I agree with George dating Tansy is the symptoms since now Tansy is one of the major characters.
2) Lavon has never dated Lemon, Lemon just cheated on George with Lavon.
3) I'm not sure why you need to mention AB since she is not anybody's ex.
But I get what you mean, it's like Bluebell is filled with a variety of people and they could get a new character introduced from each corner of the town, but they only chose to get Meatball, for example, to be the guy in the other end of the online profile Zoe is trying.
And I can see that this show has the potential to actually do the major couple swap. I stopped watching Gossip Girls for the exact same reason. But, IMHO, I think now it's not that bad yet.
1) I was actually using a kidful language (is that a thing? I don't know if I'm inventing a word, but you get what I mean)... I was exaggerating a bit, since all of this it's not something that bothers me so much that I'm angry about it. I was just making an observation (that I don't change at all) that it's not gonna prevent me from keep watching the show. I was not analizing the show to a tee, "major couple swap" was just an (obviously failed) attempt at a funny expression. I was trying to make fun, as you can see when I said about the giant bed and all of that. So, to me, that doesn't exclude anyone.
ReplyDelete2) When I said dating you cand read "romantically involved" (like I said on my second comment, "everyone was or will be somewhere in the future romantically involved with everyone"), like Zoe and George who were never a real couple but were romantically involved somehow (even if just platonic).
3) I don't know why I mentioned AB, but her mentioning doesn't matter at all to my point. So I take her out of it, and keep my opinion.
4) Thank you for reminding me of a show that had a lot of couple swaps (won't use the word "major" =D), cause I simply couln't remember any show that I watched where this has happened like on Hart of Dixie. Now I do, but I think is the only one, since on the other shows that I watched (or still watch) they just come up with new characters.
5) I don't know, but maybe it was the expression "couple swaps" that confused the whole thing? Because I didn't mean like there are like 2 couples A&B and C&D and they swap, what I meant was A was with B yesterday, now is with C, and tomorrow will be with D, and B was with A and now is with H and then with K (I'm not using their initials, just random letters). I mean not the exact members of the couple is "swapping" but they change partners a lot and it
Like I said, I also don't think we're at a "being mad about it and stop watching the show" kind of situation, it was just an "I'm gonna comment on something that I thought it was funny about this show, and never seen on any other show that I watched", kind of situation. (At the time of my first comment I didn't remeber about GG, LOL). This show is definitely not in the GG level of couple swaps.
Oh man, that is a gigantic comment, and very confusing. I hope it's at least understandable. My english it's not that good.
ReplyDeleteI understand it :)
ReplyDeleteBut please don't give up on it. This show is awesome.
You bet! I just couldn't, I fell in love the minute I started watching! =)
ReplyDelete"Without Wade to temper Zoe, she's unlikable."
ReplyDeleteI don't agree with that. Zoe went the entire first season without being involved with Wade and I liked her just fine.
