  1. Oh YAY for the teacup motifs and Clarice Starling parallels!

  2. And the entire Internet keeps being wrong !

It's œuf, which, if you're in a hurry, you write oeuf, with an "o". Œuf means "egg". Ceuf means nothing, neither in French nor in English. Doesn't anyone at NBC, Deadline & co. check that kind of stuff ?

Ceuf doesn't exist but the closest thing to it, keuf, is slang for cop, which is probably equivalent to pig (which btw is cochon or porc in French). Although there is also an animal slang for cop : poulet, which means chicken, and don't ever say that in front of a cop, or ever actually. Prefer "flic", "policier", or "monsieur / madame l'agent" if you're talking directly to the officer.

Oh, I'm drifting here. Anyway, episode 1.05 is named Coquilles (= shells) so there's no doubt this one is named "egg", therefore "oeuf". Even though it's been said this fourth episode is not as closely linked to the rest than most episodes. Still, people need to check for this kind of stuff, I haven't seen anyone reporting it correctly.

I don't understand why this mistake isn't creating a massive panic across the Internet. I mean, it's HUGE.

Love Hannibal, by the way. Probably my favorite new network drama, ahead of Last Resort.

I'll probably wait for a full version of episode 1.04 to come up instead of watching it this way though. It's puzzling me that it was taken out of the season despite the fact that the Boston bombing has nothing to do with children-on-children killing. Moreover : it's fiction. Detailed/rehashed reports on what the criminals have done might be more traumatic than anything else, because it's reality, Hannibal isn't.

  6. It just totally reminiscent of that dinner scene in Hannibal...and the fact that miss Hobbs wants to be an FBI agent! :P

  7. What this proves is that I would totally watch a version of Hannibal that was just the characters talking to each other and with no case of the week, they are all so great together.

  8. I found the whole episode uncut here ... http://a2zseries.com/2013/04/29/hannibal-season-1-episode-4-ceuf-full-episode/ ... for anyone interested. The video doesn't play in full screen but it does stream well enough.
