ARROW — (8:00–9:00 p.m. ET)
“Home Invasion” (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)
DEADSHOT (GUEST STAR MICHAEL ROWE) FIRES OFF A NEW ROUND IN STARLING CITY — Deadshot (guest star Michael Rowe) returns to Starling City after taking down a U.S. Ambassador and six others overseas. Diggle is determined to see his brother’s killer dead, with or without Ollie’s help. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) takes drastic steps to protect a young witness, exacerbating friction between Tommy (Colin Donnell) and Oliver. Later, Roy Harper (guest star Colton Haynes) unconventionally pursues all leads to find his new hero, but runs afoul of Detective Lance (Paul Blackthorne). Back on the island, Oliver recalls how Shado (guest star Celina Jade) helped him incrementally gain confidence with a bow and hit the target for the first time. Willa Holland and Susanna Thompson also star. Manu Bennett, Byron Mann and Audrey Marie Anderson guest star. Ken Fink directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Beth Schwartz (#120).

ReplyDeletewitness, exacerbating friction between Tommy (Colin Donnell) and
Oliver.
Ah. So somehow Laurel finds away to get The Hood involved in protecting her witness, which is going to drive Tommy completely crazy.
Yes, it does seem like she finds a way to get The Hood's help and adds even more tension to this triangle :)
ReplyDeleteIt'll add more tension in general. I think, from here on out, everything that Oliver (or The Hood) does will get under Tommy's skin. There's a resentment starting to build here.
ReplyDeleteGood to see that they are continuing to build up Laurel towards her eventual role.
ReplyDeleteOh most definitely. I kind of feel like the producers and the writers are setting him up to be more understanding and caring of his father when he learns about the Dark Archer so that he can be a foil/an enemy to Oliver.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I figured that's where they were going with Tommy since they revealed Malcolm to be Tommy's father.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt, he'll blame Oliver for his inevitable break-up with Laurel as well. It's predictable as hell, but it kind of is the right play storywise.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I've decided I'm not going to call him "the hood" anymore. I'm just calling him Green Arrow, as they should be doing.
Also inevitable is that Oliver will end up killing the Dark Archer without knowing who he is first and Tommy will completely lose it, if he hasn't already by that point.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a bit too crowded episode with multiple storylines. I'm most interested in Diggle's storyline.
ReplyDeleteIf he chooses his dad he will choose the worse murderer between the two.. it won't say much good about Tommy imo.
ReplyDeleteBlack Canary yeah?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah~!
ReplyDeleteThrough this season slowly but surely:
1) her faith in normal legal system got shattered.
2) she was shown to get into more and more drastic methods.
3) Her mother was introduced which opens possibilities for "original black canary" storyline along the way.
And in this episode we see her with an actual shotgun.
Its slow but it works that way since Laurel is no Oliver - she did not spent 5 years on an island with ~3 badasses who would give her a crash-course on kungfu, espionage and everything else. She can't just pick up a gun and go around doing what she will eventually be doing, so step-by-step progression towards that point works for me.
Harry Osborn. Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteDiggle isnt much of an interesting character to me. Hope they get this Deadshot storyline over soon, its been dragged out to much, Deadshot needs to die.
ReplyDeleteSo who is going to kick the bucket Tommy or his papa
ReplyDeleteYes, he will be and I agree that it doesn't say much good about Tommy but they are setting up the scene where he takes over for his father as the Dark Archer
ReplyDeleteYep, it isn't so surprising lol
