  1. Based on hype, storyline, casting info, perceived budgets, network, and assuming that these get picked up- my guess is all or most of these could be renewed: SHIELD, Intelligence, Hatfields And McCoys, Delirium, The Tomorrow People and Beverly Hills Cop.

As for others not from the list, Big Thunder, Westside, The Returned will probably take me my surprise should they get picked up. I'm still iffy on The Blacklist and Believe.

  2. SHIELD seems a likely contended, and I would also think that if The Originals can maintain the Vampire Diaries support then that is another likely candidate. Other than those two I am not really sure.

Expecting Gothica and SHIELD to do REAL GOOD. About ~65% sure that the first will do well while 99% sure SHIELD will survive on for next season and most likely longer - Whedon is where all the hype is now(justifiably so, the man deserves to finally be recognized) and Marvel is sure to release a lot of comic-book movies over the years to keep the franchise relevant, thus benefiting the tv show.

The Originals on other hand...I will be surprised on if it survives a full season - TVD fanbase is dwindling and dying as it is, separating that show will only further segregate the viewers and strain already almost non-existent writing capabilities of the showrunners. No good will come from this mark my words, but oh well - just another wrong decision in a myriad of wrong decisions that TVD showrunners did in last ~3 years.

  5. I have high hopes for the S.H.I.E.L.D. and Intelligence.

  6. The Untitled JJ Abrams and JHWyman series is now called 'Human.'

  7. S.H.I.E.L.D. I expect to do the best. I'd be shocked if it didn't do well.

The Originals, sure they're quite popular on TVD, but not all the fans like them and not all the fans will want to watch them in a different setting. On top of that, I don't think more average watchers of TVD will follow them to a new show. I don't know how well it will do because of that, but it definitely won't be as popular.

  8. S.H.I.E.L.D and Intelligence, for sure. I would also vouch for Anatomy of Violence.

  9. As a LOST/Abrams fan I had to vote for Intelligence, (In)Human and Believe. I hope they will live up to their potential!

  10. The Originals - it's based on TVD and besides almost all CW get renewed anyway. And I can't wait for S.H.I.E.L.D. to bomb hard - some people are going to be reaaaly dissapointed. ;)

  11. The Vampire Diaries is The CW's top rated show, so even if the numbers are 'dwindling' it's still the strongest thing they have/are likely to have by far - so I'm not sure deeming The Original's chances of survival as low based on that really makes sense. If The Original's even gets near TVD's number it's a lock for renewal. CW will renew a show averaging below a 1 even.

  12. I highly doubt it will bomb. It is easily on of the most anticipated shows this Fall

  13. Arrow is currently CW's strongest show

  14. I don't get why people want shows to bomb?

  15. NBC's I Am Victor with John Stamos.

  16. Believe and S.H.I.E.L.D.

  17. Yeah but ABC will probably put it on Thursday nights at 8 against The Big Bang Theory and it'll fail like every other show they've put in that timeslot. I don't want it to but that's probably what will happen.

  18. The originals is my favorite, along with the NCIS spinoff and Tomorrow People

TVD now is only strongest in key demos, but in overall everything, Arrow is the strongest CW's show in terms of ratings and critic ratings both.

The thing is the people who still watch TVD watch either Because of originals or can't stand originals, so creating a spin-off would create a ratings split. Add to that TVD's downward curve of its ratings trend and you have a recipe for a disaster for both shows.

  20. The Big Bang Theory has it's own established audience. SHIELD has probably the Marvel Cinematic Universe fans. SHIELD could also go on Sundays at 10. Plus just because it will be up against the big bang theory doesnt mean it will fail. It may not win the timeslot but it may do well

  21. I'd love it to be on Sunday nights. I just think that timeslot is a curse for ABC nothing seems to work in it. I never want any show to fail. I try to watch as many new shows as I possibly can each season just to give them a chance and see if I like them. This season there hasn't been a week yet that I've watched less then 30 shows during the week some weeks up to 50 shows depending on whether shows are on repeats or not.

  22. I understand you completely and I too watch as much shows as you. All I'm saying though nothing is for certain and that a little positivity goes a long way.

  27. S.H.I.E.L.D, Beverly Hills Cop, The Originals and the J.J. Abrahs projects (Believe on NBC; Human on FOX). I hope Influence too.

  28. I don't know too much about the pilots this year but I think The Originals will get a season 2. I had mixed feelings about Angel spinning off from Buffy... Angel was an awesome character on Buffy but I loved the show Angel on it's own. It was a good break when they shifted to college for Buffy but I missed seeing Angel on there. I'm kind of tired of Klaus and Rebecca though so I'm glad they will be moving to their own show which I think will get picked up if not for a full 22 then for 13 and then season 2 will be a full order.

  29. It's not about wanting, it's about predicting the failure. And this one is very likely to fail - it's Whedon's show, it's about superheroes but at the same time it has to be TV cheap and it'll probably go against stronger shows. Plus ABC didn't have any new MAJOR hits in the recent years (even Once Upon a Time is already dropping in its second season).

  30. Okay, but now your saying something else.Predicting is one thing, but to say "I can't wait for the S.H.I.E.L.D. to bomb hard" IS saying "You want it to fail.'

  31. I'm not even sure it will get a series order to be honest

well... hatfield and mccoys and delirium received more votes than rake. truly, i think both those two shows that were passed over by nbc and fox respectively were missed opportunities. would've really loved to see how they were going to do a modern day version of a history channel classic (though i haven't seen the kevin costner version)
