  1. From what i have saw all around the series my best choice is Brett Patridge.

  2. I voted "Other" but I have no idea who "Other" would be

  3. as i have no idea, i'll say Van Pelt
lol really i don't know xD

  4. Minelli! And I hope they'll do that. I'm guessing he was RJ in the first place. Have big theory about him as RJ. Not gonna write all of it. He was in at least 20 series of the show and it'd be great, when the show ends, to look at his demeanor, knowing that he is Red John. It would the best ending anyway.

  5. I've always had a strange feeling regarding Bertram and Kirkland. I'm leaning towards Bertram though.

  6. the director says is like find waldo , you see this misterious killer before

  7. i think it's Mashburn or Minelli can't decide...and i really don't think it's kirkland he obviously has got something to do with this, but it's not him and i would be really disappointed it it was him. the way they shook hands, the way it was staged....it was definitely to throw us off

  8. No clue but I'd say Lorelei if I thought it would bring her character back from the dead.

  9. why is not RON in the list? Ron is "Red in my name". Is Red John. Van Pelt boyfriend talks with Ron when they go to Hightower refuge. Ron talks with Rebecca an then she killed Bosco's team. Ron appears in too much secundary scenes. Ron is strong (no athletic), has the correct year, works in the CBI, everytimes he was with contacts (big fishes). Ron is Red John.

  10. I had a dream about Mashburn being Red John, so I put him lol

    ReplyDelete
  11. Rigsby. I hope it's not the case, but he might just be putting on a nice face

  12. even though the most recent stuff hints at the Homeland security guy being RJ, (why is Homeland S even there? not their type of jurisdiction/cases) I'm fairly confident that it's not even someone we've seen yet. But once they finally reveal (please let it be very soon, this is taking way too long), I hope that they give plausible reasons why she/he has so much influence over so many people...

    ReplyDelete
  13. I want it to be Mashburn. But I don't really *think* it is.

    ReplyDelete
  14. There is a theory that Kirkland and Homeland Security are involved in it because of Visualize, so now that we know Red John is in with Visualize, so they're interested in him as a way to break down Visualize.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I don't know why but for some reason I've suspected Bret Stiles of being RJ. A gut feeling, I guess. If it's not him then he's most definitely a minion/follower.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Sorry, but I don't think all the votes for Minelli or Alex Jane. Minelli is already a mature man in 1988, when RJ was "a kid". If RJ was maximum 30 years old in 1988, if he is Alex must be born in 1958.
Do you think that he have a child (Patrick) when is 11 years old (1969).
    I voted Partridge.

    ReplyDelete
  17. He's older than RJ.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Her surname is Lisbon, not Lisben.

    ReplyDelete
  19. He's too young. He was 10 years old when RJ kille the men in Visualize farm (1988).

    ReplyDelete
  20. Not necessarily he was "a kid". The minister could've been wrong, it was 15 years ago. And it's not like he even knew. He said that Talbott told him that some "kid" did that. Therefore some kid easily could've been someone even 35 years old, OR even 40. As I remember Talbott was way more that 50! And I know many people in their middle 50-s who say about 40 year old guys, "KIDS". So Minelli fits perfectly. And plus that thing when Jared was killed in Mexico. Minelly ran out of the room. He could've easily taken the plane to San Diego and than rode to Tijuana (altogether around 2 hours) And while CBI would be in Mexico (they had to go by cars and it's around 8 hours long!!), Minelly could've been on his way home to SAC.

    ReplyDelete
  21. But Alex Jane, instead, isn't possible.

There are NO contradiction about this theory. Minelly, besides 5 main actors, was in very many episodes, so it'd be great to see the whole Red John storyline. It'd be like watching a 3 seasons TV show about Red John.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm with you on that) That'd be disaster.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Howewer I think that Minelli was already in police at 40 years old; if he was a cop in 1988, he hadn't time to live and works in a farm, with drugs and madmen, for months.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Mashburn. He seduced Lisbon to test Jane's feelings for her - he and Jane had a strange conversation about something of value which was clearly about Lisbon without saying it directly - IF Jane had showed his feelings then Lisbon would have been the target....

    ReplyDelete
  26. I really have no idea I mean we know that Jane has met him but does that mean the audience has? Does anyone know if that question has been answered by any of the Producers I think it will be someone we know already but I don't know if that has been verified.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ashley Gable said: you already seen him.

Heller said:…"if season 5 we just opened a door and said “tah-dah!” and
it was some mid-range actor, that would be disappointing. The trick is
going to be — and this is coming — bringing the audience along and
making them second guess themselves and ask, “Is that him? Is that him?”
Red John ultimately is just a man — whenever you see the great
criminals reduced to the flesh it’s sort of disappointing. I have two
seasons or so to make it come true. I can guarantee that people will be
    disappointed.
You might already have seen him."

And: "Will I cast him? He might already have been cast. You might already have seen him."

Answer: how give your voice to RJ? Jack Plotnick/Partridge don't said: No, or I don't know nothing as RJ, but "I can't said nothing for not spoils anything".

    ReplyDelete
  28. By the 1988, Minelli could've been 35. He could've join the police force exactly in 1988, and increase his status to director of CBI by 2006.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Everyone has his/her opinions, but I find the Minelli theory a little "forced".

    ReplyDelete
  30. My top suspect is Mashburn. He likes Jane, he fits to Rosalind description, he has got a lot of money and a lot of freetime, he's in the age 40's.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Then he was a cop in 1988, why not? I'm sure we'll have all explanations at that point.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Shocking number of votes for Alex Jane. How contrived would that be?

    ReplyDelete
  33. For years I've had the theory it's actually Patrick Jane himself as a manifestation of some sort of inner urge.

I think is LaRoche. He seems the only smart enough.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Bertram reasons;
    - first time he meets Jane shook his hand and called him "boy wonder" (janes stage name from carnival days - no one knew that fact)
    - Jane had uneasy feelings about him from the beggining
    - he quotes William Blake poem in the red queen episode
    - the episode with the vest bomber was related to RJ and when Bertram and LaRouche put him in the back of the car hand cuffed he's not in the car for a few moments before he is shot and killed after
    - when Jane suspects him of being RJs right hand man in the season 3 finale Bertram plants the suggestion of rope on Jane which distracts him from his questioning towards and eventually the murder of Timothy carter

    ReplyDelete
  36. I say Ray Haffner!! I don't like him either

    ReplyDelete
  37. This is an interesting theory!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Jane's dad, Minelli and Stiles are all too old. Partridge is too scrawny and incompetent. Mashburn is rich, but has never been shown to be well-connected with the CBI, FBI, etc. I think it has to be Bertram, Kirkland or Haffner.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I don't think Alex is janes real father I think Jane maybe of been adopted. The way he spoke to Jane makes me believe this he's said "I've been carrying you for a long time now boy, nobody likes an aging boy wonder. What are u going to do start your act...." However Alex is obviously to old because that as based in 1986 2 years before what we know as RJs first killing.
Alex does mention that he's going to go play poker with boys. Maybe Bertram is the son of one of Alex's poker buddies

  40. I don't really care. I mean, no offense to those who are really into that part of the show, I'm past the point where it interests me a bunch. I watch for the characters and their stories. That's what interests me. They are what keeps me tuning in every week, why I'm a faithful viewer. Eh, I guess it'll be nice to finally know though.

  41. Red John is someone Jane has met but did not like. I do not think we have been given enough information yet to determine who he is.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I don't think RJ is Brett Partridge, but I think he is a friend of him... We'll see. Anyway, I don't think anyone will know who is RJ... One of my first suspects is Ron, but I think it's a little obvious and they know it... They're just playing with us. So I just think that RJ is someone that isn't in the list.

  45. Patrick Jane is Red John. A dual personality. All calls and confrontations between them are all according to Jane. there are no witnesses around during that scene. The finale of season 4 include lorelei, a known disciple of red john and the bodyguard.

Patrick (Pink) Jane is the good side (Feminine side) of Red John.

  47. From this list my top suspects would be Mashburn, Patridge and Ardiles.
I'd guess RJ was born between 1960 and 1973 approx. which excludes some.

Patridge... possible, Jane doesn't like him, age fits. But I can't imagine that RJ would "promote" the work of some copycat as his own so strongly as he did (in the first episode?). I'd imagine him to get mad that some amateur tried to copy the "master". Plus, it seems like quite the thankless job and RJ doesn't seem like the type to put up with much shit. Possible, though.

Ardiles, no real reason other than that he and Jane don't get along. Job is well-respected, put not completely high-profile. Position of authority and power without being very exposed, since he's "only" Assistant DA.

Mashburn, I want him to be Red John. The fact that he and Jane got along quite well seems to work against this theory though. Rich, arrogant, takes what he wants... I could see RJ as liking that kind of lifestyle even in his "cover".

    ReplyDelete
  48. Minnelli was forced to play a part in red John case when Jane was hired on, in red dawn episode Alexis seals verbal agreement with him to keep herself and Kirkland in the loop of developments. However in "his red right hand man" episode he pissed off rj and he made his bed so to speak at the beginning of season 2 when Minelli takes the case away from Jane and the team. Perhaps he didn't just retire but was forced out with the fear of RJ coming after him or he specifically removed from his position. No i dont believe he is Red John.

    ReplyDelete
  49. and what about the season 4 finale specifically the car scene with RJ and PJ? patrick was taliking to himself?

    ReplyDelete
  50. We dont have enough information to determine who RJ is, but it's obviously connected to visualize (recent season 5 ep) , he has a weird voice, he seems to have a talent similar to jane's(for what he did to Kristina), he is a leader in some way(disciples), he shook hands with jane, he likes tea(like jane) he has FBI or CBI? connections... i honestly cant even guess who it is, i put Kirkland because we dont know who it is or what his angle yet and because i like sam weiss ^^... but my real hopes are for Brett Stiles or Larouche because they both would make a great RJ

  51. But he is a terrible poker player, we have seen it.

l narrowed it down to two: it's got to be either Brett Partridge or Ellis Mars. Here's why: In the final episode of first season, l think, the lovely lady that lets people make love to her for money wrote in blood what the dude said out loud, but she was mexican so she translated it from what she thought was spanish to english. "He Is Mar..." in spanish is "El Es Mar..." which sounds too close to "Ellis Mars" l realised this theory when l saw this name in Jane's book of names very recently...

  53. Patrick is red john
