This table shows the early overnight ratings. These ratings are normally adjusted later in the day when all the ratings have been consolidated to take into account any local preemptions and/or overruns. You can find all the final adjusted numbers in our Ratings Database. (See the About section below for details about ratings)
The analysis below is based on the early household numbers and are NOT the same as the numbers that will be posted in the above table later. (See the About section below)
For more information on the Nielsen Ratings see this Wikipedia Entry.
NOTE: The opinions expressed here are NOT those of SpoilerTV but of the Author of this Article, Marc Berman.
Each day (except Sunday) we post the TV Ratings for the previous night.
The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).
Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above.
Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below)
If you’re interested in Ratings/Renewal/Cancellations then we have a number of resources here at SpoilerTV that we recommend you check out.
If CBS is going to show reruns on Fridays, why not just leave CSI NY on...I'd at least be watching then.
ReplyDeleteAt least Nikita's holding a 0.5 rating.
ReplyDeleteCult's up, but I doubt that's enough to save it.
Hopefully Nikita will not be adjusted down and holds on to the 0.5 18-49 rating. As long as it stays above a 0.4 - 0.5 for the rest of the season it is a lock for renewal.
ReplyDeleteCult is probably going to get 0.2s - 0.3s throughout the rest of its' run. It was already DoA.
ReplyDeleteI fully expect Nikita to adjust down (unfortunately), BUT even 0.4 is an improvement over the last few weeks, so there. If it maintains 0.5, that's terrific.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the network's brain-dead scheduling means that every time the show starts to improve in the ratings, there's ANOTHER mothereffing break to kill the momentum.
Nikita did great!
ReplyDeleteMore people should tune into Cult. It's really quite an interesting show. A bit confusing at first, but they're toning it down just a bit with every episode. This week's episode was awesome.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, but it seems like the last break at least.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we've counted the number of weeks left until the season finale date, and 3x15-3x22 are going to have to run uninterrupted. There are no weeks left for breaks. Amazingly enough, this is going to be the first (and only) time in the season where we get over 4 episodes in a row, without breaks...
ReplyDeleteYeah, finally, the breaks were annoying.
ReplyDeleteNikitaaa! Hell yeah!
ReplyDeletebye bye Touch
ReplyDeleteI thought the pilot was pretty good but when I saw the ratings didn't bother watching any further. No use getting attached to a dead show. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteholding a 0.5? you nikita fans are delusional. it has had one episode get a 0.5 this season. and don't be surprised when it gets adjusted down due to the fact that more than a few markets were airing ncaa basketball tournament games.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree!!
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to be rude just because the show isn't on top and fans are being hopeful.
ReplyDeleteI was referring to this week. It's mostly gotten 4.0. As long as it gets renewed that's all that matters to me. I don't care how well the show does as long as its enough to get it another year as this underrated show deserves.
Nbc: please switch fashion star with hannibal or cancel fs. Hannibal is a much better leadin to grimm than FS.
ReplyDeletePretty impressive numbers by Blue Bloods almost double everything else in viewership and won the 18-49 for the first time ever I think. It's really the best procedural that CBS has.
