Although, Deacon and the Vet, a BIG no, no, I liked the episode, great to see everybody back. And, yes, I'm OK with Rayna being jealous, and hopefully, realizing what she Doesn't have, for a change. They're amazing together and hopefully, they'll find their way back.
Okay. Here we go. LISTEN UP! Everyone is talking about how much they hate Teddy and Avery. They are essential to the story line. It's only the first season, people!!! Yeah, they're douche bags right now, but give the writers some time to explain! As for Deacon, I want him to end up with Rayna as much as the next person. But like I said with Teddy and Avery, it's essential to the story line! It'll add to the drama! For God's sake, take the drama! Wanna gander a guess as to why the show's ratings are slipping and why it might be sent to the "cancelled" bin? It's because of everyone's damn reactions to the characters personalities! Everyone needs to stop whining and ranting and raving about the damn characters' choices and focus on the good things happening in the show! Such as the following, for example: Slowly, but surely, Juliette's finally shaping up. Her mother is finally clean and trying to fix her relationship with her daughter. Rayna's on her way to get genuine happiness down the road now that divorce is out in the open and not hidden. Her children are learning to cope. Teddy actually has a heart - he's asked Coleman to be his Deputy Mayor and figuratively slapped Lamar across the face during a confrontation! Avery finally did something good for himself. He got himself out of the deep hole he was digging and set out to do something he's passionate about - making his music his own (I loved his song at The Bluebird). Gunner and Scarlett have reconciled - it "wasn't pity" or "a mistake." And they've possibly have gotten a record deal!! Deacon is on the road to finding himself and finding what truly makes him happy (not including Rayna). I, like a lot of other people, would like to see more positive reviews from the viewers. It's ultimately up to us whether the show gets cancelled or not. If we want a second season, we better start seeing the bright side of things and putting our faith in the writers. End rant. That is all. :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
You know what really sucks? I loathe Avery, but I really loved the song he sang tonight.
ReplyDeletePoor Maddie. Ugh at Teddy.
No to Deacon dating the vet. LOL at him naming the dog Sue and her not getting the reference.
Great episode!
Great episode. Everything. And the puppy is sooo cute.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED IT!
