I love it when Gibbs is that "father-figure you never had". Ziva, McGee, Tony, and Abby all look to him as that father that always wanted because their own fathers are truly bad role models.
Oh, I absolutely love it when they bring family to the show. Okay, I know it's always the same old story when you just know the person is a screw-up and/or is involved in something screwy or suspicious, but I still love to see their interaction, and to see the great Special Agents become someone's child (or brother, or sister, or grandson...) for a little period of time. And this one, McGee's father, I've been waiting for a reeaaally long time. Can hardly wait.
I think Abby is the only one whose parents weren't actually bad. We know this just by the way she talks about them. So I don't think she sees Gibbs as the father she never had, but maybe as an uncle.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
