"Why Don't we Get Drunk" (TV-PG, DL) (HDTV)
COMPETITION - Lavon's (Cress Williams) big plans of making BlueBell a Spring Break destination hits a roadblock when the competing town tries to lure the partiers away. With the help of Ruby Jeffries (guest star Golden Brooks), Lavon creates a competition that is bound to attract some attention. Eager to join in some much-deserved fun, Zoe (Rachel Bilson) agrees to give partying a try with Jonah (guest star Travis Van Winkle), but seeing them together makes George (Scott Porter) jealous. Wade (Wilson Bethel) and Lemon (Jaime King) decide to compete in Lavon's contest in order to win the grand prize to buy the Rammer Jammer, which they have learned is for sale. Meanwhile, Brick (Tim Matheson) has been acting odd and when everyone begins to notice they force him to seek treatment. Rebecca Asher directed the episode written by Veronica Becker and Sarah Kucserka (#218).

George jealous? Isn't he supposed to be in love with Tansy? Or Lemon? Or Shelby? I'm lost in his love interests.
ReplyDeleteOver this George/Zoe stuff. I just don't see them ever being a buyable couple. And this Jonah kid, seems like an immature snobby brat, much like Lemon can be. Hope the rest of this season gets better.

ReplyDeleteUgh, this is so annoying! I guess the show is going to try an force a George/Zoe connection immediately following Zoe's heartbreak. I want Zade even if it's just angst without them getting back together.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me, George gets jealous?! What about Wade??? Her Ex boyfriend, who is still in love with her, getting jealous makes SO MUCH more sense than George. Everyone knows Zoe and Wade are meant to be together. We really didn't get nearly enough Zade.
ReplyDeleteI'm finding the story to have taken a very abrupt and drastic turn. I just can't figure out how I'm feeling about it, so it is so hard for me to even think about where they are going next. George gets jealous? Because he never thought Wade was a threat but new professional doctor guy, now he cares and he just ditches poor sweet Tansy? That seems like another 180 after the whole boat episode with George's mother. I'm so confused.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it will turn out better on the show than it reads in the description but this was my exact problem. If George was going to get jealous, it would have been when she was giddy with Wade making out in the town square, not hanging out with arrogant Jonah.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Annabeth and why do we have to wait so long? I find this all weird and I am not at all happy, that Ruby is back. Her character is really not that interesting, but that's just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteSo over this George/Zoe thing in the first couple of episodes of season 1.. this will be excruciating to watch :(

ReplyDeleteI'm so over this whole Zoe/George thing. They are not meant to be...season 1? yeap maybe people believe something could happen...after Season 2 and Wade and Zoe hell no! Zade is meant to be :) Hopefully HOD will be renew and they will end up togheter ♥
ReplyDeleteGeorge jealous?? WTF? We don't wanna see Zoe with George! She and Wade broke up two episodes ago and Wade should be the one feeling jealous cause HE LOVES HER! Why cant we see more of that??
ReplyDeleteAlso, I dont want the show being all about Zoe's relationships! If she and Wade arent getting back together show more of her single life, like Zoe being a doctor! Miss her at the office!!

ReplyDeleteguys this all a plot to make George and zoe happen... can't you see? how come george wasnt jealous when zoe was with wade? jonah is a doctor and a serious competition while in george's mind wade was never a serious threat...:( missing ZADE sooo much
ReplyDeleteOh Jesus, Zoe/George again *yawns*. And also, why again is George jealous all of a sudden? Did I miss something while watching the show? This all looks like after so many great George episodes, we're getting back to S1 George, whose guts I hated pretty much. I just don't understand it all.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I'm actually looking forward is Lemon and Wade because I'm sure it will be hilarious. And also, I would love to see Annabeth smack Ruby out of Bluebell.
I can see that argument, and I wouldn't put it passed George to be the case. Still it sucks!
