I know! When I first heard about it, I admittedly had low expectations simply because I feel like Fuller does his best work when he's creating and expounding upon his own ideas, not the ideas of others (see: Pushing Daisies vs. Heroes, or Wonderfalls vs. Mockingbird Lane, for example), but this just looks better and better with every trailer.
For something as debatably "grounded" as the Hannibal universe, this is looking more fantastical by the minute without ever going too far, and I love it.
I always try to keep my expectations from getting too high for any tv series (you may not appreciate a good show if you expect it to be transcendent), but man oh man is it getting hard in this case... :)
I know exactly how you feel! Besides the fact that a highly-expected show could get cancelled too soon, sometimes one does not simply keep their hopes low!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
HOLY. This is not a television series - it's a piece of art.
ReplyDeleteGod I can't wait for this to start.
