Wu totally looks like a gamer to me. I can see him in a basement holed up with headphones on and a slurpee. Besides I do not look like a gamer at all (and have been told that many times) but I love me some gaming till my thumbs cramp up and my eyes are totally fried and then I have to go to work 3 hours later.
I didn't say that he doesn't look like a gamer. I said I don't see him as one. Besides some stereotypical traits he may posses, his personality just doesn't seem like the type to me.
Most adult gamers I've come across are open, conscientious, patient, polite, and some are a little quiet. More than a few have less than active social lives and/or jobs that don't challenge them.
While Wu does fit some of that criteria, I don't see him as someone to immerse himself in a gaming fantasy world nor do I think he'd ever be one to endure the younger game players who are an entirely different animal from the adults. Wu strikes me as a more no-nonsense type of guy.
I guess we will have to take a draw on this one because I see the exact opposite. His snide sarcasm totally makes me see him schooling young newbs and laughing at their demise. Plus the eps when he was under the spell and seeing him basically living on his couch also make me see it. Even though eating the couch was part of the curse, living on it may not have been. Just how I see it though :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Yes, Renard, I can only hope for once to see a normal human crime case on Grimm.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of the fact that Wu has no life, I just don't see that guy as a gamer. I can see him as someone who reads a lot of books though.
ReplyDeleteJust sittin' around the station talking with the boys about catchin' monsters. lol

ReplyDeleteWhat personality types are gamers, in your opinion?
