David Tennant and Billie Piper to return for blockbuster celebrations with John Hurt also confirmed.

The BBC has today revealed some of the all-star cast that will mark the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. David Tennant and Billie Piper will join current Doctor and companion, Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman, while John Hurt (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Alien, Harry Potter) will also co-star.

    As much as I hated what they did to Rose in S4 I am excited Billie and David are back for the Who 50th! Mostly because I would like to see 11/Matt Smith interact with them, that would be cool, reunions are cool now.

    Yeah, i fear that as well. Let them return from an early season 2 point instead, before all the angst and all the drama and Rose becoming the center of the show. That would please me.
