    Why is Stefan always such a douche? He spent all this time trying to control every aspect of Elena but sure why not he just kept all his own secrets and motivations to himself. Let her think he wanted to fix her, and not that he was really playing out his self-loathing through his girlfriend. I'd like Stefan a lot more if he were just upfront instead of trying to be a goody-goody all the time and failing miserably. He can be bad, he can be good, don't care,if he could just be honest. It would be so much easier to relate to. Maybe that's why mean "ripper" Stefan is easier to deal with, he's more upfront.

    At first this was boringgggg me!! But then I stuck it out and listened to the dialog, and felt better. I feel fine actually....yes stay in the friendzone, b/c we all know how that goes. Lol.....eh Rebekah don't be paranoid, you're fine, it's nothing.

    I knew it! Already it's headed back to Elena and Stefan.
    I knew that sooner or later she will be back with Stefan. But I hoped Elena and Damon could be together for at least one whole season. JP is making Elena look like a whore, switching guys like normal people underwear. And what about Damon? If Elena breaks up with him, it will break him. I know, he's kinda boring since he stopped torturing and killing. But I feel sorry for him. Why can't he be happy? Why doesn't he deserve more than one or two eps of happiness?

    He did tried to "fix" her. I believe, that it was his priority when they were together. After they broke up, he wanted it more for himself.
    Agree. He should be more honest. It's one of the reasons I was glad they broke up. He just wasn't reliable anymore. He couldn't be trusted.
    Easier to deal with? Yeah, if you like to get your head ripped off. But you're right. Ripper Stefan is more direct. Honest.

    Your post is a wasted joke. Stefan has been upfront about how much he hates being a vampire since season 1. He tried to kill himself after his first relapse in 1.17/1.18 and never stop to rehash how much pain he suffers because all his emotions are heightened, he also spent most of season 3 suffering the consequences of his blood lust and lack of control over it and you calll his desire to take the cure a secret?

    He expressed his will to take the cure with elena in 4.04, he just never had the opportunity to talk to her about it because she was in a very dangerous situation caused by Damon and the sire bond. And when the sire bond was known, he wanted to saver her mental health with the cure because it's the only way known to break the sire bond and avoid her to end like this poor girl who was sired to Damon before her.
    He's not bad and he's not good, he's just trying to be a better man by making difficult choices that doesn't always go in his immediate interest. And he's very honest: he never denied his past, and the bad he has done and why he did it Not being able to assume his vampire status is not a problem of honesty but an identity crisis.

    Uh Shannon the "friendzone" for some people leads to more. You don't think for a moment the way Bex does that this could be a starting over thing? I'm not so sure that's not what the writers want to place in the viewers' heads. A lack of honesty about feelings was one of their major issues.

    I really hope that they will make it clear in the next episode that
    Stefan and Elena are going to stay friends after this scene. Obviously
    this show is all about Damon-Elena-Stefan love triangle, but after all
    that has happened they shouldn't go back to that dynamic so fast, it
    would seem extremely forced and make Elena very unlikable (Stefan too).
    Besides, it's nice seeing Rebekah and Damon happy, we have enough drama
    going on around them, we don't need another huge heartbreak at this very
    moment.

    Agree absolutely. They all deserve happiness. I think, Elena should stay with Damon and Stefan
    with Becca. But don't forget that TVD doesn't do happy endings.

    I just like that Stefan isn't so depressed. I still have trouble trusting Becca. Or forgetting what she did. But I'm glad that she and Stefan are happy. They both deserve it.

    Trust IS a problem now. Right now, Stefan is the only good thing in her life. If she's afraid, Elena would take him away from her, I don't wanna know what she'll do.
