So Jeremy's dead. wow didnt think they would actually do it. I dont know how i feel though about elena turning it off. i think it'll be interesting at first but not more for an episode or two. And so Silus duplicated into Shane? Seriously I was hoping for a new actor playing him....wow.....not cool.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I think a new actor will play him... Silas-Shane must be an illusion, but now, I can't decide that Silas is a witch, a shape shifter or a vampire.. (vampires and the mind compulsion).. I don't think Silas looked like Shane (in the 1st century) and Bonnie equal Qetsiyah..

    ReplyDelete
  4. Jeremy's dead. Bonnie is a dupe (what's new). And there wasn't one surprising moment in the entire show. The script read like the comments section after last week's episode. Explaining one thing after another that we already knew. If I wasn't so pissed that they killed Jeremy and all Stefan could do for a girl he supposedly loves is to suggest someone basically mind wipe her, I would have felt really bad with how upset Matt was. But the script sucked. I'm staying in the anger stage of grief for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I was hoping it would be Bonnie that died, have not liked her since season one and she just keeps getting dumber.
The ep was not that interesting to me, mostly predictable and I guessed it was not Shane any longer.

    ReplyDelete
  6. the real Shane on the island... Mystic Falls-Shane must be an illusion or Silas..

    ReplyDelete
  7. why has everybody to die. i loved the first and second season. but this season i dont like.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Much like how they introduced Klaus, I'm sure they're hunting for an actor to play true-form Silas as we speak.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Nina was absoluteley amazing in this episode!! I think everything is gonna work out, as usual

    ReplyDelete
  10. It is not the script it is the concept I am afraid. I knew there was something very wrong with the show when Damon killed Alexis(?) that supposedly Stefan's best friend and Stefan was all like: bad Damon, but you are my brother and you saved me so lets pretend that never happened. Also you would have thought that Jenna's death would have drived it home to Elena that vampires are bad news, but no, she just keeps acting as a clueless idiot because acting smart for a change and running away from Salvatores to the other hemisphere is bad for the show, just as Caroline running away with her supposeldy "one true love" Tyler is also bad for the show...

  11. The show is too liberal with the use of mind control. I find it disgusting. I know that humans are little better than biological computers and still find mind-control disgusting, but the show takes it to a whole new level, because. everyone acts is if nothing wrong happens even humans, blah

    ReplyDelete
  12. One of the better eps in some time for me, mainly due to the work by Nina D. Pretty obvious that Shane was Silas, especially after he duped Bonnie (I hate her character for being this easy to manipulate... again, because as a witch she is supposed to be mindful of the balance in nature and unless Shanelas is controlling her, she's fairly weak minded to think that bringing everyone back from Purgatory is a good thing)... Seems like they were sowing seeds for the new Originals backdoor pilot with the mentions of New Orleans and Hailey the werewolf girl.... wondering where this is going to go

    ReplyDelete
  13. This episode was so heartbreaking. I was shattered at the end, watching Jeremy and the house go up in flames.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Such an amazing episode, I cried like a baby. I will miss Jeremy. Matt breaking down like that was what set me off. That was just so sad. I know I have said before that his character has been fitting in lately since he is the only human left of the group(no supernatural abilities that is) but I honestly think that he will be the one to get Elena through this, not Damon or Stefan. I used to love Bonnie's character but now honestly she is on my hate list. I hate what they have done with her character making her weak and gullible and just so damn naive. I mean come on Bonnie your a powerful witch being manipulated how do you not see this. Over all it was a good episode. I am excited to see Silas and Klaus come face to face though, that is going to be great, hope it won't take to many episode to get there.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Nina was on fire! I cried first time when Matt saw Jeremy and then almost till the end. So sad...

    ReplyDelete
  16. Wow. What a sucker punch. I loved it, so much. These last three weeks have been, by far, the best episodes of the season. Like completely on a different level than this season and most of season 3 too. Wow at Nina Dobrev. Her breakdown scene was, IMO, her best acting moment so far on the show. And the brothers scene out of the house... So emotional, I felt like someone had punched me big time watching the ep. And I did not see the twist of Shane being dead coming. Also didn't see the twist of them wanting to bring back all supernatural beings. I think bonnie is still going to do it though, not sure if jeremy will be back or not though. I say leave him dead, but if it is well done and doesn't take away the meaning of this powerful episode, i would be okay too. Really, one of my favorite eps of the show ever. The direction was also incredibly well done, don't know who was but it was stronger than usual.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I agree. Nina Dobrev deserves major major kuddos for what she did this week.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yeah I also noticed the seeds for the originals thing

    ReplyDelete
  19. Agree, she was outstanding

    ReplyDelete
  20. he can likely take over other boddies like klauss

    ReplyDelete
  21. This was so heartbreaking, how could they kill Jeremy. I am hoping that they will find a way to bring him back. I was just thinking that if the ring didnt work because Jeremy was still one of the Five, than why didnt the hunters curse affect Silas, no halluciations, nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I know. But still.

You really think there could be billions of them? Hundreds of thousands yes, maybe even millions. But billions?

Not enough food? You're forgetting, that not all supernaturals are vampires. They are also werewolves, witches, hunters, maybe even more. They planned on making Matts mom a succubus, but for now they didn't realize it, so there could be more then just vamps and weres.

True, most vamps don't have a dayring. But they can hunt nights. And they can compel everybody to let them into their house and they can kill the entire family. Maybe even compel them to invite their friends for "dinner". So much for the hunting. And if you think about blending in. No problem. Stores are open till late night. And there is the internet.

Well, some witches probably would. We know by now that not all withes are good and dedicating their life to protect humans. Thinking of it … How come, not more vampires have those rings? A smart witch that doesn't care much about humans, could make a fortune with selling dayrings. I sense … A business opportunity.

Yes, seeing a world where vampires would control humans would be interesting. And maybe that is where we're heading. Bonnie releases the sups and S5 is about the fight of humans for survival. Like Fringe and the Observers. But that would mean, S5 is the last season.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Better. Much better. I feel a little better about last weeks ep. I'm beginning to accept the fact that Bonnie is never really going be smart. Nina Dobrev did a fabulous job. Unfortunately, it feels like they're decimating the characters I tune in to watch. I've never tuned in for the Salvatore love triangle.

A better episode than last week thanks in huge part to Nina Dobrev. I think she was fabulous.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I thought he was a fake ghost at first. My theories so far are he, for some reason, really looks like Shane. Or, given that we've been given the hint that he could mentally manipulate people into seeing who they want to see; he's got some psychic ability. We know he's made people see their loved ones - and that was locked down and decimated from 2000 years lack of blood. He made Bonnie believe she was touching trying to give Jeremy CPR. I think he's making Bonnie believe she's still seeing Shane when she looks at him.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I didn't think so. We saw Shane still alive on the island.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I agree with you completely. Would add the deus ex machina of plopping Katherine down in the mix (for only one ep mind you) to shake things up. I watched the first three episodes of The Following before watching last weeks Vampire Diaries and all I could think was 'that's what Vampire Diaries has been missing.'

    ReplyDelete
  27. Maybe that's why they decided to do the spinoff now where vampires 'own' New Orleans and they're dividing the story in 2 shows.I like your idea!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I agree. Anyway the tweet was right after the Kol death episode. Sebastian(Mikael's actor) tweeted Nathaniel that. Not sure if it means anything. But it could. Depends on how far along the script was at the time and what they were filming. Or maybe they were talking about it. Who knows? It's plenty possible that she does it.

But yeah, that is probably why he wants to bring down the veil. Or get revenge on Quetziah or however you spell it for doing everything she did.

    ReplyDelete
  29. True, didn't think of that. Then he is probably just a vision in Bonnie's head

    ReplyDelete
  30. I really like that elena wasn't willing to bring back every monster just because of her pain, even if it's unbearable for her

    ReplyDelete
  31. but one of the things that make it original it's that almost nothing is saced, you can still be surprised

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't think they "own" NO. Klaus helped build the town, but I think vamps are still mostly hidden. Or did you mean own the town as in controlling all the illegal business and maybe owning some of the major companies? Yes, that's believable.

I think, the real reason for the spinoff is, that JP likes the originals too much to let them go and it's proven by now that she can't endlessly make up stories to justify Klaus staying in MF.

What idea? Selling dayrings? Or that Bonnie releases all sups on this world and S5 is about humans fighting for survival?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Well, I still hope Bonnie has more than one brain cell and is not going to that ritual.

No, I think it's about his lover. The witch is supernatural. So, if Silas dies, he is in the other world with her. That probably means, his lover was human and is not there. That is why he has to do this spell. So he can die and be with her. Wow. That really must be love. Even after 2000 or 3000 years, he still thinks only of her and is ready to destroy this world and all humans for her.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I agree with you

Killing 12 people to bring back only one person. come on Bonnie. those people are other people family, friend, sister, brother, boy/girl friend...

like you, said Damon could just tell elena to come down and forget the paine caused by Jerermy loss. it wasn´t a good play from Damon

    ReplyDelete
  35. She wants to bring more than just one person back. Not only Jeremy. But also her grams and other family members. But that's not the problem. The spell will bring back everybody. That's what she's ignoring. All the psychos that will get a new chance to kill.

Damon just tried to help. It was just the wrong way. I mean, think of what she was like as vampire after she accepted it. What will she be like without her humanity?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Anyone else waiting on Bonnie and Shane to kiss? I can't believe they killed Jeremy!! But it was more sad when Alaric died...maybe that means Jeremy will come back one day. Also, I think this whole turning off thing is gonna come back and bite Damon in the ass....Stefan may weasel his way back in!

    ReplyDelete
  37. ''did you mean own the town as in controlling all the illegal business and
maybe owning some of the major companies?''Yes,I meant sth like that.I liked your idea about witches selling daylight rings.

    The hell.

None of this tracks with the reality of the premise.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Agree. I would rather have Klaus and Kol on the show than Bonnie.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well, she is a Petrova. Expect her to be like Katerina the bitch. I just hope it won't take too long for her to become her old self again.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Agree on Jeremy and Bonnie.
I liked him. I liked how close he and Elena were. I will miss him. I too, like Elena, hoped that with the mark gone, the magic was broken and he's human and will be back. Here's a thought. Next time they go on a mission like that, feed the humans on vampire blood. At least they won't stay dead that way.
I liked Bonnie in S1. Compared to Caroline, she was great. But all since she lied in S1 (the spell she should remove from the device and didn't) I hate her more and more every season. Now she's reaching completely new dimensions. She's stupid and naïve and lets every kindergarten kid manipulate her. She lies to her friends, does magic only when it's too late, she causes more problems than she actually helps and she rather cooperates with the enemy than her friends. Can't we just kill her?

    ReplyDelete
  42. I agree with you.
Bonnies stupidity and naivety obviously have no limits. Killing 12 innocent people to bring back every vampire, werewolf and witch? And she's okay with it?
There were no surprises in this ep. It was predictable that Elena would turn off herhumanity if Jeremy dies. Well, there was one surprise for me. I never expected Damon to tell Elena to turn off her humanity.
I think, it was good that they explained how Katerina found them. Now we know the leak and can stop it. Shane and Hayley.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Not to mention Kol and Finn would be back. And I'm sure they wouldn't be too happy. If Alaric came back would he even be "pre psychotic" Ric? Or would he be the same "super" original he was before he died. That would be a huge problem too. Not to mention ol' mom and dad for Klaus. But you know, there was a tweet after Kol died that mentioned "Sorry you died son. You'll be back, we'll all be back" But there will be just as many good coming back as there are bad. Not saying Bonnie isn't stupid. Just saying this might end up going down regardless. I think she will die eventually. She has done too much. And she seems like a hand wave sometimes anyway.

Silas is strange right now. He seems way different from your run of the mill vampire and original vampire. And if he is an original, is he a "super" original like Ric I wonder? Because it seems to me it should be harder to kill this apocalyptic crazy mythological evil that had Kol scared for his life than it would be to kill Klaus.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Bonnie is everything u said, but she's not on my hate list, she's basically the witch version of Elena, emotional, will do anything for her loved ones.

    ReplyDelete
  45. You've sure have been watching the show for thinking there's something wrong...

    ReplyDelete
  46. Agreed, if Bonnie has so much power she could've brought back Jeremy, after all she did it twice! When she did have all that power she has now. So it shouldve been easy likeb123, just snap er fingers and Jeremy wakes up!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Great episode. Sad for Elena, even worse for Matt, who is not able to shut down his emotions.

Good way to get rid of the house, since it was on sale in real life, so apparently they could no longer film at that location.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Bonnie brought Jer back to life in the s2 finale.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Right. Liz shot him and Caroline couldn't get him to drink her blood. I totally forgot. But still, he wasn't dead for long.

And even if he was dead for a while now, she still could have tried. She didn't. I think, she already made up her mind.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Of course Kol and Finn would be back too. So would be Mikael. They were all supernatural. As I said, the spell would bring back every supernatural creature (vampire, werewolf, witch, the hunters). But I think, they would be happy. To get the possibility to kill someone. That's what I meant with the tomb vamps. They wanted to massacre the founding families for revenge. Probably most of the returned vamps would love to get their hands on the people that killed them, or at least their descendants.

It would be great to get Jenna and Jeremy back. And Anna and Pearl. Ric, as long as he is not a psycho. But I wouldn't allow Bonnie to do it, even if it would be my brother who just died. I wouldn't want the responsibility of releasing millions of vampires and weres on the humans. True, some may be good guys. But not all. And what with the people that would die because of that? How can Bonnie be so stupid? That is exactly what I hate about her. Well, one of the things. She messes up and other people have to pay for it. And not only that, she also blames others for it. Mostly Damon.

Wow, wait. What tweed? Where did you get it? Does it mean Bonnie the bitch will actually do this?

Yes, please kill Bonnie. Shall we start a petition?

Well, if he can't die, except by taking the cure and die as human (or at least mortal), he's even more powerful than our originals. I think, Silas is still only interested in his former lover. That is why he want's Bonnie to do the spell. Either, this lover of his was supernatural (like a witch) and he wants her back, or he just wants to die and be reunited with her in the afterlife (which he can't, as long as he's supernatural).

He doesn't care about the people he kills, or about Bonnies grams or Jeremy or Vicky. Just his lover.

    ReplyDelete
  51. So what about April? Are we going to address that Elena told her Jeremy was dead before the house burnt to a crisp? lol! Also the burning down the house with Jeremy in was very What's Eating 'Gilbert' Grape. Plagiarism case?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Elena is not stupid. At least not as much as Bonnie. Bonnie lets everyone manipulate her. And Elena wouldn't do the ritual Bonnie is about to do. Not even for Jeremy and Jenna.
I know it looks like I hate her. I probably am. Sorry, if you like. But to me Bonnie is just weak and annoying. I liked her in S1. And I could even forgive her for the lie (you know, the device she should be deactivating and didn't). But I have the feeling it's getting worse and worse with her. I wish she could be more like in S1 or the books.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I can see the apocalypse in this. Humans will be eaten after some time and supernatural creatures will just breed them to feed. Then humans will be finally eaten and since supernatural can't really die they will be in constant change from dead to undead. This could be a nice finale to the show.

    ReplyDelete
  54. In all honesty, TVD has slipped down a few notches for me. Aside from the hot Damn & Elena scenes (which is completely WHY I watch!!) the storylines are getting tiresome. Still fighting with Klaus, still weak, weepy Elena (boo-hoo, poor me, yet everyone LOVES me!), always one more bigger, badder guy around the corner. I don’t know. Maybe I’m still pissed they killed off Jenna, then Alaric (who was one of my favourites!! and I AM still pissed about that!), and now Jeremy (also one of my favs). Seriously writers? Keep killing off some of the best cast and what will you have left?! I really REALLY miss the Damon and Alaric moments! A few times this season I thought maybe they would start putting Damon and Klaus togther (which I really enjoyed the moments they had) but with a spinoff in the works I don’t see that happening (or lasting). Bummer! :(

    ReplyDelete
  55. I don't think that's that easy.

First off: twice? I remember just the spell she did at the end of S3 that required a sacrifice. She could bring him back, cause she killed him with the spell. At least, I think that's why she could bring him back. Please remind me of the other occasion she brought him back. I believe, he was always brought back by the ring.

And second, when she brought him back he was dead just for minutes. Now he was dead for hours. He already started to smell. Maybe that was why she couldn't.

Well, she could have at least tried. Best way of knowing if it's working or not is, not even try it, right? That is what I hate about this show recently (since S3): no one thinks. There is no thinking, no considering consequences or other possibilities, no logic. For example. How long in S3 they knew about Mikael? Since the beginning, right? Then why no one thought of Bonnie using the same magic to lock Klaus away till the end of the season? And they tried to lock away Alaric, not Klaus. And Bonnie just realest Klaus at the end. Didn't she thought of the consequences? Wasn't she afraid he would kill everyone involved in this and their entire family? Of course not. Tonights ep is another proof. Bonnie didn't try to revive Jeremy. No, she plans on killing 12 innocent people and bring back every supernatural creature on the other side. And another lack of logic: she still trusts Shane, after all she learned? That he is responsible for 24 deaths? That he won't hesitate to kill again? That he just manipulated her and used her?

    ReplyDelete
  56. April already knows about vampires, so when she hears the cover story, she will probably play along. I just wonder, why she called.
Gilbert Grape? Good movie. I'm not into drama, but I liked it. They burned the house, cause they couldn't get their mother out without removing a wall. But I must say, I understand why Elena did it. Another animal attack? Like they live in a jungle. Besides, animal attack is only believable if the body is found in the woods. And I understand that she couldn't stay in that house. I couldn't either.
I don't see it as plagiarism. After a century of movies and several centuries of books and theater, it's impossible to find a scene or a sentence that wasn't written or showed before.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Sounds like you waned to finish the show after this season. There is a S5, you know.

But I have to agree. Unfortunately. If Bonnie the stupid bitch performs that ritual, the world will be overrun with supernaturals and humans will stand no chance. Not the way I wanted to die. Eaten by a vampire. But still better than being ripped apart by a werewolf. They would at least find my body in one peace.

But let's not hurry this. We know that not all vamps are bad. Even those who should want revenge are ready to live in peace with humans (like Pearl). And wolfs transform just one night in month. So they are mostly not dangerous to humans. They prefer to hunt vamps. And most witches dedicated their lives to protect humans from supernaturals (like Emily).

    ReplyDelete
  58. Lol I only picked up on the similarity between the two scenes, I didn't mean plagiarism in a literal sense. More in a joking way.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I think Bonnie is hypnotised by Shane/Silas, this is why she's okay to kill 12 people.

    ReplyDelete
  60. What did I think?! They copied off of SPN! Bastards! I'm sorry, but that was just a dick move. TVD lost a heck of a lot of points in my book. And I'm sure I'll probably get a lot of hate for this comment. But I really don't care. You just don't do that.

    ReplyDelete
  61. She's supposed to be immune to compulsion. Even from originals. But maybe Shane used some other hypnosis on her. Like he did with Jeremy (who was too immune).

    ReplyDelete
  62. Nah, I am just up for unexpected endings.

Thankfully it wouldn't happen to you because the world is not written by Plec.

It's not about revenge or bad/good vampires. There is a big chance that if you resurrect all dead supernatural creatures ever lived, the number of them might even exceed current human population. Or at least 1/3 more. And all those creatures have to feed. There isn't enough blood bags to feed them, most wouldn't want to. Humans have troubles with protecting themselves though if you count vampires not being able to walk i daylight there is a fair chance. But resurrected witches could start a business of selling rings. It all depends on the amount of already dead creatures. Tons of possibilities so it could be interesting to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I must say, that I haven't cried because of TVD since Jenna died. But seeing Jeremy die … Also I must say it wasn't really surprising. It was predictable that, if Jeremy dies, Elena will break and turn off her humanity. I just didn't expect it would actually be Damon to tell her to turn it off. I thought she would do it herself and Damon would try to convince her to not turn it off.
"Can I get you anything?" My answer would have been: Katherines head on a silver plate.
"You are creepy" "Thank you" Thaw was just priceless.
Shouldn't it be illegal for Bonnie to be so fucking stupid? Shane (or a Shane copy) tells her that Jeremy is dead and she's playing firestarter instead of trying to go to Jer and Elena ASAP. And she's still listening to this idiot (or she thinks it's this idiot) that brought them here in the first place and is responsible for everything? And how could she be so stupid and not realize that it's Silas and not Shane with her. I mean, at the very moment she decides to get out of this madness, she sees Jeremy? And when she gets doubts about his plan to massacre 12 innocent people to bring back every supernatural creature, he shows up and convinces her again that's it's the right thing.
It was nice to see Damon and Bonnie hug. Even if I at first thought it was an illusion.
So this spell could actually bring everyone back? Ten thousands, maybe millions of psycho vamps and wolves? And Bonnie is just okay with it? She's ready to kill 12 people to bring back every vampire, werewolf or witch? And how many people would die because of them? Remember the tomb vampires? How stupid is she? Can't she just drop dead instead of Jeremy? I would even rather have Kol on the show than her.
