Wonderful episode... gotta admit got me a bit misty, especially during the little flashbacks and Chris's speech to Ben about how they found a home in Pawnee... definitely going to rewatch this one a few times
This may go down as my favourite Parks episode and it has a lot of competition but there was something so perfect and wonderful about those 22 minutes. If it had been a series finale as it was originally written I would have been sad to see the show go but delighted it went out on such a strong ending. As it is the show continues and we get to see more of these terrific characters and their lives.
Perfect, perfect episode! I felt all kinds of feeling, from sadness over a lot of speeches done by various characters, laughter especially when Leslie said she wrote a 70-page vow and everybody was like, "oh no, please don't read it Leslie..." It was a looooooooooooooooooong time since I was greatly touched by a father/daughter relationship on TV, until Ron said that Leslie was beautiful. I know Ron's not her father, but it still felt like it this episode. The only thing missing is Ron's girlfriend, and the only thing that needs to be missed is Jamm. JAMM, YOU NEED TO JAMM SOMETHING IN YOUR THROAT, GET SICK AND NEVER RETURN TO THIS SHOW AND RUIN/ALMOST RUIN EVERYTHING FOR LESLIE.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I loved it so much! Everything about it was perfect except for Jamm. He just needs to go.
ReplyDeleteAnd NO ANN. DO NOT CHOOSE CHRIS. BAD IDEA.
