Awsome as usual. And while it may not have been as great as the episodes with a lot chaos and things going on at once, it was still a pretty decent episode in my book. Glad to see that Hersch finally got what was coming to him. Hopefully he will learn his lesson and not try to come after Reese and Finch again, even though he probably doesn't have a choice since he works for the government and can easily be tracked down. And also what great and foreshadowing little scene that was at the end. Did not see that one coming. Root has somehow managed to infiltrate that government guy's main office; if only he knew. This season is just getting better and better, and we're barely at a little over the halfway mark. :)
Brilliant , Zoe's come back was Awesome, the story was intriguing, Loved Fusco and Carter, and Root is BACK. Reese was as lovely as ever and Zoe and Reese, beyond words... They know how to make this Excellent TV show gets better as it goes.
Another fantastic ep. Nice to see Mia Maestro onscreen again. Zoe + Reese = heat. Nice that everyone got in on the action, and that they're setting Carter up with a storyline of her own
Solid episode, better than last week's for sure, about as good as you can get for a fairly stand alone episode. Reese and Finch were great as a duel threat inside the hotel, they need to both be out in the field more... and Bear needs to be there! You know I would watch just an hour of Reese shooting guys in knees and then Bear goes and gets them! Ya!
Anyway, Zoe being back was cool and I like that it was very subtle. And the ending with her and Reese was, well, I'll say that Reese is very smooth. And Root is back! Been waiting for that! Love some Amy Acker. And what's up with what's his name? Guy who likes Carter? Curious where that will lead.
So in the future: more Bear, more Amy Acker, and the show will be unstoppable (although it kind of already is).
This ep was good but not an awesome from me. Though I will say the last act qualified. So, Hersch knows how well John is trained and yet he walks John into the kitchen where there's a huge number of things John can (and did) use to fight back? I had to subtract IQ points. His exiting the hospital made me think of something my mother once said...."...if she told you to jump off a cliff would you do it?" Clearly Hersch would. :-D Carter's shooting is impressive. What a time for the Cal reveal! That sucked! However, I don't think Cal is a bad guy. I think we're being manipulated. Great episode but just not an awesome for me. But Root's Plan B for getting to the machine! THAT was awesome.
Root!!! With her, the Machine still blue-screening after Kara's actions, Reese keeping the hitman alive (loved that), and what I saw from next week's episode, it looks like we're headed for another attack-from-all-sides finale! They actually called Root "Ms. May" in this episode! :p
I really liked this episode. Again. It was great to see everyone involved in the COTW.
I'm back, so the episode was awesome for me, the case of the week was good (but, last week was better), but I love see Mia Maestro always and watch Finch buy the hotel is like see Bruce Wayne buy a hotel, cool. Another good thing about the episode is the action scenes with Reese and the dynamic of the 'team machine', Fusco, Zoe and even Carter (at the end) help this time.
The twist with Hersh was awesome, but Reese make a mistake leave the killer alive, I hope he not regret later. Reese and Zoe flirting is fun. The last scene is amazing, know the Root is closer to the 'special counsel' is fantastic, her name is not in the press release of this episode, good job of the production hide this secret so well.
So I happen to be rewatching Alias and I'm about a third of the way into season 4! So I was extra excited to see Mía Maestro (Nadia Santos) play a juxtaposition role! (I always love it in the episode "Détente" when Nadia and Sydney are under cover at the hotel, but Nadia is a maid at first, and Eric says, "Ah, I ordered a French Maid.") And then they went and gave us Root (Amy Acker, who played Kelly Payton on Alias) back!
But the episode was another great one! I'm wondering if the writers are giving us lots of reoccurring characters, because these last few POI's have either international connections and/or lots of money and resources! They just seem like they're getting a little too close for comfort, although I'm glad Finch bought the Hotel and gave Mira a grander position there.
Also fantastic how Zoe figured into it all! She's just as smooth as ever. " Haven't seen you since the divorce."
I also enjoyed the kitchen fight scenes with Reese!
Was also wondering why Carter would want to take a job for the FBI, although it seemed like it was a set up on there part to get information. -I didn't think the FBI would go away that fast, but I like way that they basically keep dancing around our characters...
Hey POI fans the guys (and my friends) from Person of Interest Brazil group on facebook translate the new codes:
the first blue screen (00:03:45) talk about Bin Laden "Bin Laden Determined To Strike in US" Diary of the Presidential Chair, made by the Central Intelligence Agency and given to the U.S. President at the time, George W. Bush. The text alert authorities to a possible attack by Osama to the country. The curious thing is that this text was made 36 days before the attack on 11 September.
The second blue screen, to 00:22:25 is a passage from the Bible: "And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth ""
The third blue screen, to 00:40:16 "Types of Chemical Warfare Agents. Choking agents are the oldest Chemical Warfare agents. This class includes chlorine and phosgene, first used in World War I. These agents have a corrosive effect on the respiratory system that causes the lungs to fill with water and choke the victim."

Another great episode! Although I liked last weeks much better, it was kind of fun having both Finch and John working together onsite to help this victim.
Loved having Zoe show up to help out too. Having a little romance between her and John at the end was nice for Valentine's Day!!
Best part for me was seeing Root at the end as that guys new secretary. And she knows the name of the guy he is looking for too...Finch!!
Very solid episode. I liked the person of the week and the ending scene with root was unexpected and very good. Carter's storyline was also very interesting and seeing Zoe always elevates the episodes in my book. I adored her last scene with John at the bar, I wish we could have seen the room scenes though ahah, they are incredible together.

ReplyDeleteJust three times like you say.
ReplyDeleteJust one thing to say and I back later to comment............Reese almost kill Hersh (awesome).......Root is back :D
ReplyDeleteHope not killing Hersh doesn't return to bite Reese on the ass.
ReplyDeleteAgain doesn't Root knowing about The Machine will kill you?
ReplyDeleteBrilliant , Zoe's come back was Awesome, the story was intriguing, Loved Fusco and Carter, and Root is BACK.
