"Secret Circle" star Chris Zylka has landed a key role in NBC's new thriller pilot, "Bloodline."
"Bloodline" is about a young orphan named Bird (Skyler Samuels) who is torn between two feuding families full of murderers and mercenaries. In order to break her curse, Bird must find and kill her own mother.
Zylka plays Troy, a man who was taken from his parents and into a life of battle. For most of his youth, he has been raised in the Spartan agoge, where he has been taught to withstand excruciating pain. While most of his fellow Spartans become emotionless shells, Troy has remained sensitive -- and he's got a strong connection to Bird.

Aw, damn it. I knew something was wrong. Zap2IT messed up and I didn't catch it. Bloodline is for NBC, not CBS. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, Bruce. All fixed :)
ReplyDeleteUmm... I thought he was ok on The Secret Circle, but I was never blown away by him. This show (if picked up) could either be really interesting or a train wreck.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I should have known something was up when I sent that in because CBS doesn't make dramas with young people in them. :)
ReplyDeleteUp until now, the casting on this pilot has been quite good. Zylka is the first questionable casting choice they've made. I must say I'm a bit disappointed by this as well.
ReplyDeleteThe reason this diva joined this pilot is because they didn't need him to change his hair.
ReplyDeleteI liked him in The Secret Circle, but this show doesn't sound very good to be honest.
ReplyDeleteI officially have little to no interest in this show now.....
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see the TSC cast on tv again!
ReplyDeleteThis does not sound like a particulalrly promising premise. I'll pass regardless of the casting.
ReplyDeletenot shorter they wanted to shave his whole head for a role so small they ended up cutting it from season 2.
ReplyDeleteif he was offered a series regular contract he would have cut it.
execution is what will make this show a hit or miss
ReplyDeletethe worst male character on TSC was Adam the weakest link and l actually like the actor but he was miscast
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping this will be one of those "post-pilot recast" situations.
