  2. I guess Once upon a time is half action too^^

  3. OMG seriously Five-0 is definitely the best. I love the Stunt team on the show that's what got me hooked on in the first place

    ReplyDelete
  4. The Walking Dead,by far.But I also like Arrow and White Collar.

    ReplyDelete
  5. NIKITA, obviously. Also IGN's best Action Show of 2012!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I like Hawaii Five-0 too.Also Nikita,Arrow,Revolution and Falling Skies too.

    ReplyDelete
  7. There are a few I really like but out of the list given I went for POI. I've finally caught up with it all last night and I love it!!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Why is choosing so hard? I like Burn Notice, Arrow, Hawaii Five O and sometimes Nikita too.. but Leverage, White Collar and Covert Affairs are my favs.
    I picked just randomly.

  9. I vote h50, but I think shows as Nikita, Fallings skies, the Walking Dead and others (Criminal Minds, CSI NY, ... ) are great, and each one have their own weaknesses and strength ;)

    ReplyDelete
  10. It was cancelled a while ago but my favorite action show will always remain Alias !

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'm going with Person of Interest, but that could change if Revolution keeps on the track it's been on. I do notice the POTC choreography which I like. I haven't seen Arrow yet, but it looks like it has good action from the little bit of promos I have seen. Honorable mention should be Hawaii Five-0.

  12. There's lots of action this year on TWD. Last year, not so much. Anyway, that's my choice.

    ReplyDelete
  13. This is just a test, have been having a problem posting comments, so checking to see if it is fixed. sorry.

  15. I kept getting...You must authenticate the user or provide author_name and author_email. Just kept playing around with it..glad I am back, there are bad withdrawals when I can't post. lol

  16. I went with POI. Then its,and not in any particular order, Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, NCIS, White Collar and last but not least,

Game Of Thrones, why in the world isn't that listed? Not enough action,lol...?

    ReplyDelete
  17. For starters, YAY! I submitted this poll, nice to see it posted :-)
Anyhow. Nikita is my favorite TV show in ANY genre, so of course I voted for it. However, I'm glad to see PoI in second place because it's my second choice :) hehe.
Other than those two, the only show on the list I watch is Arrow, and it honestly hasn't met my expectations so far. I hope it gets better in the second half of the season, or I won't stick around.

  18. For me:

    1 - Person of Interest
    2 - The Walking Dead
    3 - Havaii Five-0
    4 - Revolution
    5 - Arrow

    ReplyDelete
  19. Picked Nikita because she kicks all kinds of ass. POI is also great action wise.

    ReplyDelete
  20. 1. Nikita
    2. Hawaii Five-0

    ReplyDelete
  21. My favorite show, POI.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I have lots of other favs up there but I gotta give it to Nikita

    ReplyDelete
  23. Nikita! But why having such a wide fan base it still does so little in ratings? I don't understand.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I almost chose POI, but then I changed to The Walking Dead. That show is just amazing. February can't get here soon enough!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. In honour of the show ending: Leverage!

    ReplyDelete
  26. absolutely the one & only top Action show; HAWAII FIVE-0!!!
AWESOME action & story line & the most interesting guest list every week
so for me it was easy pick, easy vote!!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. White Collar and Leverage

    ReplyDelete
  28. Absolutely Hawaii Five-0 !!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Burn Notice. A lot of these I see as crime shows instead of action shows so that cut out Person of Interest, Hawaii 5-0 and even White Collar and Leverage for me. Of the ones left Burn Notice and Nikita are the most action-oriented and I like Burn Notice better although I enjoy Nikita too. Next would come Covert Affairs and then Revolution, although Revolution's action scenes are better. Dead last by a big margin would be Walking Dead. I only watched the first season, but it fluctuated between boring me to tears and grossing me out.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love these shows too. They are in my top 5 shows this year but I've never considered them action shows before. Most of these shows are not action to me even if they do have some action sequences in them.

    ReplyDelete
  31. You don't like The Walking Dead?!Dahne,don't be blasphemous.. ; )
As far as the boring part goes,it gets much better in the next seasons, although I have to admit that I didn't find the first season boring. But there are certainly less things going on.
The gross part stays the same and even increases at times,so maybe it's not for you.If I remember correctly, you also didn't like My Bloody Valentine(Supernatural) because it was gross, right?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Nope, The Walking Dead was tied with The Mentalist as the worst show I watched that year. After the nine hours of walking and meaningful glances and silence interrupted only by short scenes of ick, I was ready for the zombies to kill everyone. I need action in my shows and there was far too much standing around, walking around, and waiting around for me. You are correct about me and the gross factor. I still can't stand My Bloody Valentine. I watched it again last week when I was working on my rankings and it is in my 25 worst.

    ReplyDelete
  33. seriously, you dont consider HAWAII FIVE-0 action show?????? its 100% action even the naval seal in Perl Harbor are often in the show ...duh!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I had the same reaction to TWD as you,i just don't get the attraction to walking zombies,i rather sink my teeth into a good series or book, that had some meat behind it...And why in the world did you get the down vote for what you said, its beyond me!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Fair enough.
As I said,it gets way better as far as the action goes, but it's definitely not for you.
And you just reminded me that there's a poll with our best and worst episodes coming(at some point),isn't it?I think I need to work on that.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It's more like a series of articles for discussion. Good news is you have a little time. It's been postponed to either the in-season spring hiatus or first thing in the summer hiatus since the song-to-scene contest is going to last until the midseason premiere.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I separate crime dramas from action shows in my thinking. It's nothing personal to the show.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I take the down vote as a shortcut for saying you disagrees with an opinion instead of a negative these days. I don't think of it as personal so it never bothers me anymore but when we first had it I hated the thing. Still, it would be better if it went away.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yes it would be better for many if it went away.I am surprised that Disqus cannot disable the button. There has to be a way, they designed it...oh well.

Person of Interest, hands down. There's just no other show on that list that does action on this level, THIS WELL, while STILL having awesome and mind-bending plot twists and great characters.

    ReplyDelete
  41. ok, what happens in action show? dont ppl die all the time? so action is latterly related to crime in my thinking, not trying to disrespect your opinion, but im just wondering!! H5.0 is not like criminal minds ( a crime show)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I am not saying that crime cannot have action in it because it usually does. It's just that the first thing I think about in a crime show is usually the crime elements - solving the case, detectives, clues, the mystery behind it. In an action show, the first thing I think of is the action. In Burn Notice, explosions and guns come up pretty quickly in my thinking because that is a big part of the show. In Nikita, I think martial arts pretty quickly because that again is a major part of the show. I'm not saying that these two shows don't have drama and mystery in them because they do. It's just that the focus a lot of the time is the boom and the butt kicking, much more so than crime dramas where a larger part of the episode is devoted to other things. Actions being "latterly related" is not the same thing as action driven to me. Oh and just because it is an action show doesn't necessarily mean that people die all the time. My guess is that all crime dramas (with the exception of White Collar and Leverage) have a higher body count than Burn Notice but I bet Burn Notice has the highest explosion ratio in all of TV.

  43. My guess is that the more people that use the Send Feedback part of the settings button to complain the more likely they are to find a way to disable it. After all, we all complained about the teeny tiny response boxes when they first changed over and that was fixed pretty quickly. Of course with all of the bugs that Disqus has been having lately, perhaps they should first concentrate on just getting their product to work on a regular basis.

  44. Leverage is my number 1 pick.Love a show that can give you every thing you want. Action, drama, laughs and some kicks story lines. Plus great looking guy that does the hitting. Leverage all the way.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Leverage... best action show on tv. Hell, it's the best show on TV period!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hawaii Five-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. What about NCIS? That would get my first vote.

    ReplyDelete
  48. My favorite is Leverage but it's been cancelled, unjustly I might add. Of the shows I watch that are still on the air, I would have to go with NCIS. After these 2 shows, I don't really watch most other shows like these, I go for the Astronomy, archeology, etc. shows. Guess I'm sort of a nerd.

    ReplyDelete
  49. It's between Nikita and POI for me...

    ReplyDelete
  50. LEVERAGE...LEVERAGE...LEVERAGE all the way. I Love the modern day robinhoods!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yeah, I had a hard time deciding which options to include in the poll (I submitted it), especially since I don't watch most of the shows listed above. Supernatural has quite a bit of action, for example, but I see it as fantasy/horror and not action. Since I don't watch White Collar, Leverage, Falling Skies, Burn Notice, etc., or other shows that I didn't include like Game of Thrones, I picked based on the little I've read about the shows. Obviously, it's subjective what counts as action and what doesn't.

    ReplyDelete
  52. LEVERAGE is by far the best show ever!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. LEVERAGE the best show tv had.. hopefully another network will pick it up since TNT cancelled.. LOVE MY LEVERAGE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Leverage #1 show for me .. hitter, hacker, grifter, thief, mastermind .. what an amazing cast and they all work together as a team .. as if they really were family!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Thanks so much for submitting the poll. It's a great topic and it's been fun being able to discuss action. Most of my favorite shows are on here. Action is a hard genre to pinpoint because everyone sees the category in a different way. I tend to break things down into smaller pieces than most so just ignore me. By the way, I would not put Supernatural in action either and it is my biggest appointment TV show too. I would however suggest you try White Collar if you were a fan of the early seasons of Supernatural. Peter and Neal have a brotherly bond that kind of reminds me of the brothers and watching that bond grow slowly over time has been a great joy to watch.

  56. H50 and Nikita! I can't choose!

    ReplyDelete
  57. This is an easy one. Hawaii Five-0. They have an awesome stunt team, and great action every week. And very well scripted into the show. I mean come on, a Navy SEAL is the main character, that alone guarantees action and unconventional thinking to solve the crime. The most entertaining crime show on TV at the moment.

  58. *** N - I - K - I - T - A ***

  59. POI, White Collar, Arrow, Revolution

    ReplyDelete
  60. well, THE BEST IS ON TOP!!! Nuf said!!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Leverage! Parker's acrobatics and Eliot's fight scenes are always perfection.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Please, Christian Kane and Parker alone in Leverage has so much action you get butterflies when you watch.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I voted for Leverage because I think it's the best show ever!!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Leverage is undoubtably the best action show! What makes it so unique is the fact that Christian Kane does all his own action/fight scesnes and coordinates them for the show as well!!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I gotta represent Leverage, someone's gotta show them love

    ReplyDelete
  66. definitely, it's an all star cast even off camera they just click

    ReplyDelete
  67. Leverage is definitely my pick! Christian Kane is the fight coordinator for the show and does his own stunts. He and the whole cast have such wonderful chemistry. There is never a dull moment. If you have never seen this show, I highly recommend you see what everyone is talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I love Leverage great cast and they just won the People's choice award

    ReplyDelete
  69. Leverage!!!!T Without a doubt was the best action show on TV ever!!!! The writers, producers and cast kept you watching every minute. You never knew what was blowing up, who was getting shot or shot at, and they helped the "little guys". They showed you how to play "ball" with the big hitters.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Leverage!!!!!!! Because Sometimes Bad Guys Make the Best Good Guys! I love the cast. Over the years they've become like family to me. I miss them so much :'(

    ReplyDelete
  71. OMG, it is amazing that a CANCELLED SHOW from a "cable" network is killing 2 top shows from a prime time network. It says two things. One, Leverage is very much alive even though it's no longer on TNT. And two, TNT needs to rethink why they let it go. Here's hoping some other network will know the gem that TNT let go of is now available!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Leverage was the best action show on TV...bar none!!!! It needs to be brought back into production. Leverage has a hugh fan base, that would enhance any network smart enough to pick it up!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Leverage was the best action show on TV. Leverage had nail-biting episodes every week that but the characters in danger. Explosions galore, fighting up the ying-yang. All, combined with brains and a bit of humor...what else could you ask for? The cast was ALL STAR!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Leverage....no other show comes close!! The cast is amazing!!
