  1. First thought was "well, that can only be one!"... Then I saw you could pick two and voted Game Of Thrones as well.

Honorable mention goes to The Walking Dead!

  2. I feel Breaking Bad and Mad Men is the best.

But my favorite right now has to be Justified.

  3. The Walking Dead. Truly one of my favorite shows of all time. Plus Dexter (where is it?) and Suits.

  4. Homeland and I would have voted Dexter if that was on there. Lots of good shows left off (more light hearted and funny ones)

  5. Suits, White Collar & Justified.

  6. Sons of Anarchy! Although I love he Walking Dead, Homeland and I am a fan of Game of Thrones (though books more than tv series) I really think that the script for SoA is great and the characters are incredibly well written. Game of Thrones is great due to George R.R. Martin and the actors playing they parts. The script is mostly awful - it deviates too much from the books.

  7. Breaking Bad is by far the best.. and then GoT.

  8. Breaking Bad and Justified. Of course yo.

  9. Breaking Bad, but is a tough battle, with other great shows like Mad Men, Homeland and Game of Thrones.

  10. Hmmm... I'm most likely to watch Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, but I do think Homeland is "better" than The Walking Dead in terms of overall quality, so Game of Thrones and Homeland got my votes.

  11. judging by 2012 definitely Boardwalk Empire

  12. Picked The Walking Dead.
Also picked Game Of Thrones since my 2nd & 3rd choices werent even there.
No Dexter, no Burn Notice, no Leverage. no White Collar?? Failure of a list.

  13. Sorry that Dexter didn´t make the list guys. I´m sure I wrote a box in with Other and I did not put Spartacus on there......hmmmm.

I voted for Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. Justified and SOA are some of my favorite shows aswell. But if all four shows were on sunday at 09.00 I would watch GoT first.

  14. out of that list i actually only watch suits on usa network. i've started watching hbo with the newsroom last year, but most cable shows i watch are either tnt, usa, syfy or other shows from britain, canada and other countries. other than suits, other great shows on usa network are white collar, royal pains, necessary roughness and psych, some of which should've been in the poll. Also, where is eureka, the best show (in my opinion) on syfy? rizzoli and isles and perception are pretty good on tnt, and i'm hoping that the first show i watch on fx (the americans) this week will broaden my horizons for cable shows. all in all, i think cable shows are better than broadcast networks.

  15. The Walking Dead, while it may not be the most popular on this site it is the most popular by quite a margin in the US and probably the most watched US cable show around the world.

  16. Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.
    Where's Dexter???

  17. Suits is an intelligent show for USA. I enjoy it and has steadily become one of my favorites. I've seen an episode or two of Game of Thrones. If I watched more of it, I'm sure it'd be my favorite, but I've watched all of Suits thus far and since Psych isn't on the list...

  18. American Horror Story was Forgot. :)

  19. Based solely on season 3 I completely agree.

  20. I'm glad someone does, sad to see BE in the last place currently.

  21. Despite having massive buss for its first season, Boardwalk Empire has kind of been underrated in my opinion. I think it has been one of the best shows on TV since it started with arguably the best lead actor, supporting actor, and ensemble cast as well as one of the best VFX teams and production crews around.

  22. I think Breaking Bad is just a step ahead of every other series, but there is a second tier of sows that are all brilliant as well.

Shows like Boardwalk Empire, Justified, and Mad Men.... and then just below them shows like Game of Thrones, Homeland, Sons of Anarchy, and The Walking Dead. The last 4 I listed have been fairly inconsistent in their quality levels despite having brilliant performances by the actors.

  23. Suits is the best show! My husband and I just LOVE it!!!!!! Keep them coming!

  24. I would have voted for Shameless (most likely), House of Lies (I hated it at the start but the further they steer from fecal humour the more intelligent a portrayal it becomes- while slapstick at times, at the core it has evolved into a witty web of broken people juxtaposed against an examination of the manipulations of an industry created to take advantage of our capitalist system with money and fools ripe for the picking- god bless consultants), the more I come to love this series. Much to my surprise. And a couple years ago I would have picked Nurse Jackie (although I didn't love last season so as it stands, this one's up for an internal debate as far as I'm concerned)... But, alas they weren't available as options. So, alas, I voted for Boardwalk and Homeland. Homeland's a giant ball of action-fueled cheese and cliché, but I enjoy it. Mandy P and Claire Danes are certainly fun to watch, regardless.

  25. :-) I've voted for Game of Thrones, but currently a fell in love with White Collar (I'm at the end of second season). My friend recommended to me and I've to say it's realy great! So I'd say that White Collar is the best cable show ;-)

  26. Game of Thrones, Mad Men, and Suits.

  27. Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead.

  28. Shame on you for not including Shameless!

  29. Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.

  30. Game Of Thrones and Breaking Bad

  31. Breaking Bad. And GoT as a close second. /poll

  32. While I love Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Justified, and Game of Thrones, I guess I'd have to pick just:

Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead (with Breaking Bad as an alternate only because The Walking Dead has kicked ass this year).

    ReplyDelete
  33. Breaking Bad>Game of thrones>Mad Men>>Homeland>Suits ( hard to compare given it half through the second season)>the walking dead>True Blood

Not sure where I put dexter, the last 7 season have been too varied in quality

    ReplyDelete
  34. Where's the none of the above option? That's what I pick. Out of these I guess Justified but I've only seen a couple of episodes so I don't feel comfortable voting for it based on just that.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I would have voted for White Collar too. I love the family dynamic between Peter, Neal, Elizabeth, and Mozzie.

  36. I would like to note that Breaking Bad in my opinion is the best show of all on this list. However, it is not my favorite genre. I chose The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. I have a soft spot for post apocalyptic genre and for fantasy. But Breaking Bad is probably the best, if there were 3 options, it would be number one.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Breaking Bad, Dexter, and The Walking Dead.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Exactly :-) Peter and Neal are so smart so their little "arguments" (banter?) are truly amusing :D Elizabeth is great many charachters like hers are, you know, just "girlfriends/wives" but when she's talking with Peter or Neal OR with Mozzie is super funny and i love it :-)
Btw, it gives me a little bit "Chuck" vibes :-)
