THE TERRIBLE TRUTH — When Stefan (Paul Wesley) arrives back in Mystic Falls with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), Caroline (Candice Accola) is immediately worried about Elena’s state of mind. Stefan reaches out to Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey DeVitto) and Matt (Zach Roerig) for help. Still on the island, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) relays somber news to Rebekah (Claire Holt), and is surprised at her reaction. Together, Damon and Rebekah learn an unexpected bit of recent history from Vaughn (guest star Charlie Bewley). Everyone is horrified when Bonnie reveals the rest of Shane’s (guest star David Alpay) plan. Finally, after Damon does his best to help her, Elena comes up with a plan of her own. Lance Anderson directed the episode written by Julie Plec (#415).

    Just reading this synopsis gives me a really bad feeling, especially since Damon and Rebekah are left behind on the island for some reason.

    Elena made a point of killing Connor and followed through on it and she's planning on having Kol killed and I don't see him mentioned anymore. So far, vampire Elena's plans aren't turning out too badly.

    That's cause they are Damon's plans--thank you sire bond! One of the strikes against Elena acting "like herself" was the actually killing Connor.

    Actually, Elena's plan was to go in and save Jeremy. It was Damon who suggested killing Connor and that's what she did.

    That's what I was saying (meant to be saying?)--that the killing Connor wasn't really Elena it was Damon and that's why Vampire Elena's plans have been working better they aren't her's they are Damon's.

    I'm still giving Elena credit because she went in to save Jeremy and she was successful. We'll see how successful she is this week with Kol and no help from Damon.

    oh, one other thing that doesn't directly relate to this ep that I know of... I would love to see more Rebekkah/Stefan stuff... I'd love as a couple, but if not, I would like to see them as really great friends, something akin to Stefan/Lexi thing... I think they have a great chemistry together...
