DEAN REALLY DOESN’T LIKE WITCHES — A police officer named Kevin (guest star Christian Campbell), who turned to witchcraft after working a case with Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), is plagued by nightmares in which he murders innocent people. However, when the murders actually happen, Sam and Dean are called in by Kevin’s “familiar” (guest star Mishael Morgan) to help ---- but the brothers aren’t sure they want to save a witch. John Showalter directed the episode written by Brad Buckner & Eugenie Ross-Leming (#814).

  1. The title is giving me some very disturbing images. I'm guessing the familiar is a dog?

    This sounds pretty good!

  2. At over the halfway point in the season, it's troubling to see just how many filler episodes we're still getting.

  3. Did that sound a little boring to anyone else or is it just me?? :/ I want more mytharc based episodes...:S

  4. there have been a few eps that have been ok. but overall this season is really disappointing in my opinion. the brothers just do not seem like themselves.

  5. There has been 7 episodes already that had to do with season/mytharc storylines and tonight ill be 8. Through 15 episodes last season there were only 5 episodes. Season 4 through 14 episodes there were only 5 episodes. Season 2 through 14 episodes there were only 5 episodes.

Season 5 is the only season that was basically all mytharc.

  6. Those other seasons always had little tie-in scenes that kept the season's arc going even in stand alone episodes. We're getting hardly any of that this season.

  7. we already have a recurring character called kevin, why didn't they come up with new names? it's getting kinda confusd, like jimmy's wife and sam's ex girlfriend vet share the same name "amelia".

  8. Holy crap this season is really starting to suck. I am 20 minutes into As Time goes By and I'm dying from the Suckitude. WTF is this crap Adam Glass?

  9. Really I thought it was a great episode.

  10. I thought Trial and Error was 8.14, not this one.

  11. I thought it was great too. I'm really feeling like this site is being hit with a lot of trolls who simply want somewhere to tear down the show...

  12. I asked Jim Michaels on Twitter and here is his response.

    Jim Michaels ‏@TheJimMichaels

@Jensenfan 8.13 was always Everybody Hates Hitler, 8.14 was always Trial and Error & 8.15 has always been Friends Best Friend with Benefits

  13. My least favorite writers with my least favorite director and a stupid title and it's a witch, hooray!

  14. Yep, CW sent out a mistake in their press pack. We've fixed the title

  15. Are you kidding me? Monster of the Week episodes along with brotherly moments are the back bone of Supernatural. Mythology has always been secondary. And it is not necessary that every MoTW episodes should have shades of mytharc over it, especially if the one is extremely boring like the one now. ( Haven't watched As Time Goes By yet)

  16. just because this person doesnt like something you like doesnt make them a troll

  17. Can I just say that episodes 12, 13 and 14 are all part of pretty big arc that links to the main mythology of the season and the series. Then you have the episodes where the other two trials are carried out and the ones about the tablet/Cas/Niomi/Crowley/Kevin.

  18. If you want to tell me specific examples of what you don't like, that's an opinion. Just coming on to say I hate this show and I hate this person is simply being a troll. I don't understand why people watch something - wasting an hour or more of his/her life on something that is without any redeeming features.

  19. I have said the same thing many times, if you don't like a show STOP WATCHING. I have better things to spend an hour on, like watch an old ep of SPN. lol You have to understand some people are not happy unless they are bad-mouthing something, the glass is always half empty for them.

  20. Yes, true. I just can't figure that out. I like a good discussion but arguing has always seemed pointless to me- and bad-mouthing things...

  21. Thanks for the carefully-considered, nuanced insight.

  22. People can say what they like as long as it is done in a respectful manner It isnt for anybody else to decide if you dont like the post ignore it and go on to one that suits you better but complaing about the complainer seems counter productive.

  23. Did I complain about someone?? I was speaking in general about people that never have anything good to say about a show, but just want to complain..why do they keep watching?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I agree! It's almost the uses (just making up a figure) 15 "male" names and 10 female names - like Amelia, Lisa....
