AMAZING episode...until it ended. This WHOLE plotline was about Lisbon going into darkness to catch her own personal Red John and we didn't even get an acknowledgement. We're supposed to be satisfied that she caught him but we didn't even get her recognizing the lengths she went to do it. That was VERY disappointing. Do better next time.
I think is was an amazing episode... but i'm little disappointed with the ending, i was hoping to see Lisbon & Volker or Lisbon & Jane.. Anyway i like it :)
Worst episode they have ever had by far. None of this plot made any sense and it looked like they wrote this episode and made it in about an hour and a half. Wow.
I liked the episode because I wanted the Valkur thing over and back go main focus on Jane. But I can see where u come from. Based on the theory that Valkur Dosent gets his hands dirty and is smart in leaving mess i think he would have asked his men to check the area first and so there would be no witness as he would have probably moved the kill elsewhere after maybe just beating him and letting go or taking him.
Well whatever I'm passed it now and waiting to watch next ep
I don't really agree. I think Heller was a bit misleading when he said about Lisbon going 'dark', because for me that isn't what this has been about at all. Yes a lot of it was about Lisbon breaking the rules, much like Jane, in getting her man (something she wouldn't usually do), but that's more of a tie in to her understanding Jane's attitude towards Red John than anything else. And for me that's what this has been about - Lisbon understanding how Jane feels he 'doesn't have a choice', which I feel was adressed perfectly in the previous episode 'Days of Wine and Roses'. In fact, Lisbon even uses those exact words. It was a perfect parallel to Jane's court case in the S4 premiere when he said the same thing about shooting Timothy Carter.
Also, it's important to note that the ramifications of this episode will continue to be felt - this isn't the end. In Lisbon's identification towards Jane and Red John and Brenda's deceit especially - those are bound to be felt going forwards. It's also worth noting that Volker isn't dead, so there's no reason he won't be seen again.
On top of all of that, the idea that the ending was slightly rushed, whilst understandable, completely goes against my feelings towards this episode - that it felt very dense. To me it felt like they actually fit a lot in. Based on all of this, and the fact that it was an undeniably well made episode, warrant nothing less than an 'awesome' in my eyes.
Worst episode? Try one of this seasons best (and it's been a great season). Have you seen 3.11 'Bloodsport'? That's my 'worst' episode, but even that's enjoyable - the Laroche/Cho/Rigsby stuff especially.
Anyway, you're entitled to not like the episode, of course you are! :) But to say it's the worst seems incredibly hasty to me. As I said in the comment above, looking at this objectively regardless of whether you liked the episode or not, It was well made. That's what I think anyway :-/
Well I have seen every single episode of TM, and I'm a huge fan. So I'm definitely not being hasty. This one stood out like a sore thumb and was poor for about a dozen reasons that I didn't like the episode, the plot, the direction, the construction, and everything about it. It was a huge mess.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I would have liked more Lisbon at the end, instead of just Jane taking the kid back. But great ep!

Just my two cents.

Massive props to Blake Neely. His music, as always, fit the episode perfectly. Brilliant job.
