This was the classic Castle episode where you have a case with a theme, good chemistry between Rick and Kate and a little bit of humor! It wasn't the greatest episode ever, but it certainly wasn't the worst! It could easily fit between seasons 2-4.
I agree that the case was more interesting than last week, but we've waited so long for Castle and Beckett to be in a relationship and you wouldn't have even known they were in this ep. And, I don't like her all that much, but it seems odd that Gates isn't around. Shouldn't the Captain be in the precinct from time to time? There's no sense of needing to be careful about their relationship if she's not even present to possibly figure out that they are a couple and therefore threaten them working together - or worse, that Kate could lose her job.
I was so pleased and surprised to see that this episode wasn't ever going to be all humor and silliness The opening scene showed that. The drama as well as the deeper emotional moments were really great to watch
Another mediocre episode. That makes two in a row. Don't get me wrong, I liked the shows but they didn't seem to have the "draw card" that kept me watching from start to finish and for this episode I guessed the killer in the first five minutes. Yep, I have two witnesses to prove it when I told them. Predictable! What is worse is that Castle has never been this predictable. At least two weeks from now we might have an exceptional episode. Let's just hope things move back to the REAL CASTLE because these two episodes have just been fillers.
Last night's episode classic and good theme..!!! But I keep waiting for the climax of the season, I mean an episode containing all, a touch of madness, doubt, fascinating in other words. Castle, is one of my favorite show, but ....Overall, I still think this season(Castle) is not the best, first after waiting to finally decide to give vent to their feelings, as we all expected at the start of this season, the famous "honeymoon time" more it has been "honeymoon problems, insecurities and lack of communication" as two completely opposite people, when we all know that is just the opposite. Now supposedly "honeymoon" is over, someone tell me when started ..?? , Yes these two barely touch, and I want to clarify that there is to be naked in every scene to express that they are in love, it is totally illogical what they have shown is the last episode and then the plot has been affected by a dense cloud of boredom , monotony, extremely predictable is as if the idea of each chapter not consolidate itself and I ask the question, are the same writers from previous seasons ...??? ... But please give permanent vacation to which they are now and return to the old, it is urgent ...! We need the dumbbell between characters continue, visits to the morgue, the intense interrogations take place again, how to paraphrase and subtext of dialogue makes his presence again, because the show deserves it and would be sad if it were not so . Again wait patiently and hopefully be surprised in a pleasant way, dynamic.dazzling. fascinating, attractive., amazing, seductive.and charming.....I leave you with a phrase from Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher : **Hope is the dream of the waking man.** Good day to all.
It was a good ep. Yes I want more Caskett. As another said it doesn't have to be a sex scene, but for heavens sake they could touch. Their chemistry is amazing, but so under used. That's is my opinion. I did like the ep, but use Caskett please.
My thoughts exactly! I enjoyed the ep despite the lack of Caskett but at the same time, would've liked to see SOMETHING with them! Maybe these last two are a little break before the Bracken, Valentine's, and two-parter episodes? Those all sound like they're gonna be full of Caskett moments :D
I really liked this episode. There were some classic Castle funny moments and a beautiful moment between Castle and Alexis and it was great to see some banter between Espo and Ryan and Espo and Beckett.
I do understand some peoples frustration with the lack of Caskett scenes, because I too am a huge fan of the coupling, but I think we forget sometimes that this is a crime drama, not a romantic drama. The romance of any of the characters and personal lives outside of the precinct are secondary stories to the cases and to take say 5 minutes of a 40 minute show to have them being all lovey dovey could ruin the actual story line around the case of the week and potential hurt ratings cause we have to admit a good proportion of those watching Castle each week tune in for the cases and humour not the romance. I also think a reason for not getting many scenes is cause they are in the precinct and still trying to hide their relationship from Gates. We have had hints in conversations that the 'honeymoon' period is definitely still in play at home and its up to our imagination to fill the rest in.
Like I said I am a huge fangirl when it comes to these two and we have some amazing episodes coming up in which I believe we will get some of the moments we have been waiting for (maybe another reason why is been a bit 'cold' on caskett front as to not over do it). I mean how can we not get something in Beckett's moms case, valentines day or the 2 part episode??
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteThe case was better than last week's.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly good episode. Definitely had that classic Castle feel.

ReplyDeleteIt was a great mix of a father's love. I loved that message. It did still lack any Caskett what so ever.
