ReplyDeleteEmma isn't in Storybrooke. She is out of town with Henry and Mr. Gold.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, that's very spoilery, I think the "Bae is Henry's father" theory might finally be confirmed... Why else would Emma and Henry go searching for him? If it were only Emma, it could just be Gold asking for the favour she owes him, but then again, it only makes sense for him to involve both of them if Bae is in fact Neal. And so the plot thickens...

My guess is that Bae is Henry's father (Neal).

ReplyDeleteIt is more likely that Gold takes Emma and Henry out of Storybrooke because Cora wants it so. She's never gonna stand a chance at pulling Regina back to the dark side as long as Regina's son and the saviour, who is willing to believe that Regina can and wants to change, are in Storybrooke as a small support system for her. She has to seperate Regina from them at least long enough to unleash her next crazy plan.
The Canadian promo for this week has Cora and Gold striking a deal. This must be it. Gold helps her to get Regina back by taking Emma and Henry out of town and Cora gives him something he wants in return. And for Gold it will be easy to keep his part of the bargain since Emma still owes him a favour.
They almost never use the character's real names in casting calls.

ReplyDeleteRumple's never left SB, he doesn't know his way around the outside world. Emma can be a big help. Henry? I'm guessing he just doesn't want to be separated from Emma again, since he just got her back.

Yup, ever since the mid season finale it's just easy to travel between worlds it seems. To bad my article got blasted for telling the truth about these logic holes.

ReplyDeleteWouldn't he have asked her to come with him when he wanted to leave last week then? I think it's probably a combination of both. Cora wants Emma and Henry out of the way and taking her to New York is like killing two birds with one stone for Mr. Gold.

Well, it's only natural that there would be Lost references because of Eddy and Adam.
ReplyDeleteAs for Fringe - I haven't noticed any particular references to it (I admit I'm not really a fan it). The idea of travel between parallel universes is actually not that new, and it's certainly not a Fringe innovation (Stargate SG-1 being one earlier example, just off the top of my head). And I never liked Buffy, so I wouldn't bother comparing it to Once.
That's exactly what bothers me. I don't really care about the world traveling in itself, just the way they're turning it into something completely normal and easy to do.

ReplyDeleteI think it makes total sense for Gold to have asked Emma to come along in the hunt, both because of her former profession of bounty hunter and the favour she owes him. I can't imagine that she would want to be separated from Henry for any length of time now, especially if, by then, she knows of Hook &/or Cora's crossing over to Storybrooke. Hunting for Baelfire would definitely sound like the safest place for Henry... though I don't think anyone yet has connected the dots to link Bae and Henry's father definitively. But of course that would be just about perfect for us (as fans) and them (as characters)!!!! So here's hopin', and prayin', and wishin'...

ReplyDeleteI can not wait for this episode. Emma and Henry accompany Gold to the outside because they can transverse the curse line. also Mr. Gold would not have any magic out side the boundary. Thus he would need Emma's skills as the bounty hunter to find Bae. I am sure Henry is just along for the ride to protect him from Cora's wrath. Tiny breaking up the town would convince every one Henry was not safe in Storybrooke as long as Cora was around. One other thing. Emma is magical anywhere she goes!

And the fact that I temporarily blanked on August's name (despite loving the character), shows that my memory's not photographic ;) But I like the idea of a true, unrelated stranger finally appearing in Storybrooke. It's about time, I think, that the "real" world intruded on their little bubble...

I won't argue with that. I think it would be interesting and different, but I just don't trust the writers in choosing a non convoluted, contrived path... the way they've been writing the show so far has me thinking they are most likely to make him have a connection.
I heard that, too! Do you listen to the official Once podcast? The writer of the book was addressed in an episode, though I can't recall which one and I can't remember if they said they're waiting till the end to talk about who wrote the book or later this season. But yeah, they didn't seem like they meant August. August merely added a story to help Emma believe.
