How does Anton unleash vengeance on the town when he befriends humans? a bit contradictory...
ReplyDeleteHe probably befriends them by the end of the episode and gives up his vengeance?
ReplyDeleteyeah that sounds about right. but what does he have to be vengeful about anyway? i think he befriends them when he recognises Emma in Storybrooke...
ReplyDeleteWait so...the stranger is named "Greg" now? Hasn't there been a casting call for someone named "Barrett" what we thought would be the stranger? I'm a bit confused now. o_O
ReplyDeleteyay more belle :)
ReplyDeletemte :)
ReplyDeleteHow on earth does Cora manage to bring the giant from FTL to Storybrooke? I am beginning to get seriously annoyed with the banalization of world traveling...
ReplyDeleteEmma isn't in Storybrooke. She is out of town with Henry and Mr. Gold.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, that's very spoilery, I think the "Bae is Henry's father" theory might finally be confirmed... Why else would Emma and Henry go searching for him? If it were only Emma, it could just be Gold asking for the favour she owes him, but then again, it only makes sense for him to involve both of them if Bae is in fact Neal. And so the plot thickens...
ReplyDeleteThat giant plot just sounds silly to me. And I really don't like the idea of Emma and Henry leaving town with Gold.
ReplyDeleteI think the giant befriends human in FTL in the past, then the humans betrayed him, that's why he is looking for vengence now
ReplyDeleteWHY would Henry and Emma go with Mr. Gold??Makes no sense
ReplyDeletePerhaps something to do with the magic well again? Even if that's not the case, it was hinted that Cora may be more powerful than Rumple. She's got quite a few tricks up her sleeve.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, you're right, we've had too much traffic between parallel worlds this season. Maybe Eddy and Adam are fans of Fringe? :D
My guess is that Bae is Henry's father (Neal).
ReplyDeleteI doubt this Greg is actually some random stranger with no previous connection to Storybrook.
ReplyDeleteThat would certainly be something!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Neal is Bae...and if he is...Bae is Henry's father!
ReplyDeleteMost likely something bellow storybroke considering the BTS photos of him being lifted out of there.
ReplyDeleteThe show is ridden with Fringe, Lost and BTVS references.
ReplyDeleteGreg Barrett. sounds about right
ReplyDeleteIts Possible that Anton was betrayed by a human in ftl past somehow.
ReplyDeleteThey don't know this until they meet Neal, though.
ReplyDeleteIt is more likely that Gold takes Emma and Henry out of Storybrooke because Cora wants it so. She's never gonna stand a chance at pulling Regina back to the dark side as long as Regina's son and the saviour, who is willing to believe that Regina can and wants to change, are in Storybrooke as a small support system for her. She has to seperate Regina from them at least long enough to unleash her next crazy plan.
The Canadian promo for this week has Cora and Gold striking a deal. This must be it. Gold helps her to get Regina back by taking Emma and Henry out of town and Cora gives him something he wants in return. And for Gold it will be easy to keep his part of the bargain since Emma still owes him a favour.
They almost never use the character's real names in casting calls.
ReplyDeleteI am terribly worried about the CGI in this episode. Hopefully they are going to do it better than in the last giant episode
ReplyDeleteOh okay. Wasn't aware of that. :) Thanks for the clarification.
ReplyDeleteBecause Emma owes him a favour...?
ReplyDeleteOr Gold simply wants to use Emma's magic to FIND Bae.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that might be the flashback part. And then he was betrayed by them, which is why he hates them in the end. Or something.
ReplyDeleteRumple's never left SB, he doesn't know his way around the outside world. Emma can be a big help. Henry? I'm guessing he just doesn't want to be separated from Emma again, since he just got her back.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe it has something to do with Cora. Maybe she wants Henry out of the way so Regina breaks even more.
Yup, ever since the mid season finale it's just easy to travel between worlds it seems. To bad my article got blasted for telling the truth about these logic holes.
ReplyDeleteWell to be fair, they just have to enlarge the giant this time instead of everything surrounding him. But alas I have no hope for the sfx. :P
ReplyDeleteHow convenient.
ReplyDeleteThis show hasn't been really logical for several episodes now. :)
ReplyDeleteShe still owes him that favor.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of funny because it's like "It took Rumplestiltskin 300 years and he had to do HOW much to do this?" Because everyone can now.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't he have asked her to come with him when he wanted to leave last week then? I think it's probably a combination of both. Cora wants Emma and Henry out of the way and taking her to New York is like killing two birds with one stone for Mr. Gold.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's a hap. Cora has her fingers in it.
ReplyDeleteIt makes a lot of sense. Emma and Henry can leave the town, Emma owes Gold a favor and I guess Cora wants to send both out of town to work on Regina.
ReplyDeleteIt's magic! ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah that could be, things seems to suggest Cora working with Gold... But when Gold was ready to kill her a few episodes ago why would he want to work with her now?
ReplyDeleteAlso, what is a ''hap''? :)
Well, it's only natural that there would be Lost references because of Eddy and Adam.
ReplyDeleteAs for Fringe - I haven't noticed any particular references to it (I admit I'm not really a fan it). The idea of travel between parallel universes is actually not that new, and it's certainly not a Fringe innovation (Stargate SG-1 being one earlier example, just off the top of my head). And I never liked Buffy, so I wouldn't bother comparing it to Once.
That's exactly what bothers me. I don't really care about the world traveling in itself, just the way they're turning it into something completely normal and easy to do.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking he might be Peter Pan... or the guy who wrote the book?
ReplyDeleteSome interesting tidbits there....
ReplyDeleteI think it makes total sense for Gold to have asked Emma to come along in the hunt, both because of her former profession of bounty hunter and the favour she owes him. I can't imagine that she would want to be separated from Henry for any length of time now, especially if, by then, she knows of Hook &/or Cora's crossing over to Storybrooke. Hunting for Baelfire would definitely sound like the safest place for Henry... though I don't think anyone yet has connected the dots to link Bae and Henry's father definitively. But of course that would be just about perfect for us (as fans) and them (as characters)!!!! So here's hopin', and prayin', and wishin'...
ReplyDeleteIt's already been established that Pinocchio wrote the book, when he was the stranger, so that he could re-educate Emma on the truth of FTL...
ReplyDeleteI can not wait for this episode. Emma and Henry accompany Gold to the outside because they can transverse the curse line. also Mr. Gold would not have any magic out side the boundary. Thus he would need Emma's skills as the bounty hunter to find Bae. I am sure Henry is just along for the ride to protect him from Cora's wrath. Tiny breaking up the town would convince every one Henry was not safe in Storybrooke as long as Cora was around. One other thing. Emma is magical anywhere she goes!
ReplyDeleteI know it has, but I'm pretty sure I read an article/interview in the fall about how the issue about the book's author would be re-addressed.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, interesting. I don't recall hearing anything like that, but I don't catch everything. And the fact that I temporarily blanked on August's name (despite loving the character), shows that my memory's not photographic ;) But I like the idea of a true, unrelated stranger finally appearing in Storybrooke. It's about time, I think, that the "real" world intruded on their little bubble...
ReplyDelete~ "But I like the idea of a true, unrelated stranger finally appearing in
ReplyDeleteStorybrooke. It's about time, I think, that the "real" world intruded on
their little bubble..." ~
I won't argue with that. I think it would be interesting and different, but I just don't trust the writers in choosing a non convoluted, contrived path... the way they've been writing the show so far has me thinking they are most likely to make him have a connection.
I heard that, too! Do you listen to the official Once podcast? The writer of the book was addressed in an episode, though I can't recall which one and I can't remember if they said they're waiting till the end to talk about who wrote the book or later this season. But yeah, they didn't seem like they meant August. August merely added a story to help Emma believe.
ReplyDeleteI believe that is right, it was from the podcast. I didn't listen to it, but I read a summary of it and that is what was mentioned...
