I hate to say it, but the Alex/Michael charade is the dumbest thing EVER. Do they think Amanda is a freaking moron, and wouldn't see through it in like 2 seconds? It would have been one thing if Nikita and Michael only pretended to break up (like Stefan and Elena did in Season 2 of TVD to fool Katherine, although that didn't work, either). At least then, it'd be halfway believable. But Amanda, who knows all of them so well, buying that Michael would not only leave Nikita, but immediately jump to her best friend/mentee/little sis? And Alex doing that to Nikita? What an asinine idea on Team Nikita's part.
I believe it was indicated that (SPOILER!!!) whatever happens to Michael (/SPOILER) is a consequence of their going after Amanda - if so, honestly, they kind of deserve it.
Other than that: wow. Just... wow. Also, a minute-long promo? Why, CW, you do spoil us. I guess all the Nikita fans nagging you on twitter did the trick.
Nikita is nothing like Vampire Diaries. This is probably just a temporary distraction to get closer to Amanda and when Amanda finds out it was all an act, there will be hell to pay.
But why do they think Amanda will be fooled by something so obvious? If we, the fans, could tell that the kiss was an act as soon as we saw it, the same will obviously be true for Amanda, the master of mind games and someone who played mentor to Nikita. But yeah, Nikita is nothing like TVD, thank god. (If it was, we'd have Alex developing a romantic fascination with Ari, or something, and he'd draw her ponies to prove his devotion...)
Didn't Amanda think they had a "thing" though in season 1, when Michael was getting a little too protective over Alex, or at least in the back of her mind she thought that. It doesn't seem too obvious to Amanda but it is obvious to us since we've witnessed Michael and Nikita's relationship grow.
I agree with everything you have just said. I kinda thought Craig put it in there for the Alex and Michael fans. I admit, while I was watching the promo, I kinda cringed. Hopefully they make it cute instead of creepy, btw isn't Michael supposed to be the first one to discover Alex's drug problems…I thought I read that somewhere. I really don't think Amanda would be that stupid, if she is then if completely miss judged her on how well she knows Alex, Michael, Nikita, etc.. I agree with the fact that it's completely BS that Michael would leave Nikita, then immediately jump to her best friend/protege/little sis/daughter….Alex has enough ships going for her already.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
looks great

ReplyDeleteI think it was Birkhoff who implied that, not Amanda, when he told Michael he needs to stop getting emotionally invested in the recruits.
ReplyDeletethis ep looks amazing, I cant wait.
