Hannibal and SaveMe - Likely air before season end, although Hannibal could air in the Summer
Dracula - aiming for fall 2013
Crossbones - Still in production
Neil Cross said somewhere that the show wont be ready to film before the fall of 2013. This so it wont colliede with Dracula, among other stuff. They dont have Laurie yet, but from what i read they have him still in connection among with other actor to play the same role and the other lead.
The fact that they're thinking about airing it in the summer, means they're not very high on Hannibal and his chance of becoming a hit. Also, I hope Crossbones will be out sooner than later.
I'm not sure if that is what it means. CBS is airing "Under the Dome" this summer too. I think networks are trying to actually put better TV on in the summer time like some of the bigger Cable shows do (HBO: True Blood/The News Room). Even Showtime is going to put Dexter and Ray Donovan on in the summer this year!
I've seen the broadcast network try with summer shows for some years now, and not once they've actually succeed. Showtime is a different story, they're cable and there's a recent history of hit among cable networks like AMC, USA or TNT.
I might check hannibal, not sure, but crossbones and dracula are very very appealing to me. Especially if they get hugh laurie for crossbones, that will become must see tv for me. A year ago, all i was watching on NBC was community. Now, I watch community (when it comes back), grimm (caught up over the summer and started loving it), revolution, go on, chicago fire, deception and i am looking forward to 2 of their shows! Not bad at all!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
From what i have heard Crossbones wont be ready to air before 2014.
ReplyDeleteHannibal by the looks of it wont air before at least march, but looks like NBC wants to shelve it. Maybe not even air it.
Save Me will replace some of the half-hours shows left on NBC before the summer, maybe Guys With Kids or something.
I thought CityTv was planning on putting Hannibal in their mid-season lineup, so I was hoping for a date in February/March :/
ReplyDeleteI really want Hannibal, please don't mess around with it NBC
ReplyDeleteThey might be smart to shelve it indefinitely.
ReplyDeleteWith Gillian Anderson on board it would not be wise to let us wait too long!
ReplyDeleteWhat have you heard about Crossbones? Very interested to see it IF they get Hugh Laurie to sign on.
ReplyDeleteYeah it has such a great cast I mean it could be awful but I am just intrigued by it.
ReplyDeleteSeeing as it was ordered to a full season I don't think that would make sense, even if its a flop like The Firm they will end up airing it all.
ReplyDeleteNBC was "happy" about The Firm, they dont see happy about Hannibal even with what the brass said today.

ReplyDeleteI´m excited to see if Hannibal will turn out good. Pleeeease let it be good!!
